Grenades. Oh god,GRENADES. When grenade explodes in real life, everything in 5 metre vicinity gets shrapnel-tastic. In games, they are as powerful as bunny farts.

also, medkits. what the hell do these things have in them? do they contain jesus' tears or something?
Nah,it's Chuck Norris' tears.
That's not possible, Chuck Norris has never cried. Ever.

Oh, and I'd also like to adress Jerich0, if the health system was realistic, the game wouldn't be fun. I mean like Call of Duty on veteran, was that mode fun? No, at least according to me. Maybe you'd like a challenge.

I don't know why we would ***** about health systems and area specific damage and invisible walls. These aren't shortcuts that developers take because they're lazy.... it's because coding to make everything as realistic as possible would take one hell of a long time and would put production costs way up. If you wanna blame anything for these shortcomings, blame the current pricing structure.

Invisible walls are annoying, even Fallout 3 has them, there a bit difiicult to find but I ran headlong into one when trying to run away from Super Mutants.

Also arbitary running from place to place in MMORPG's for some lazy cockhead who can't be bothered to kill 20 boars by themselves!

One thing that always gets to me is how supremely confident your enemy in the game always is. I mean, yes he tries to stop you...but if I had been watching a lone person defeat my minions and deathtraps at every turn I think I would be a little more panicked!

Weight-based inventory systems, instead of bulk-based.

For example, in just about ANY RPG, but lets say Morrowind; you can carry half a dozen weapons, a spare suit of armour, ALL your gold, a bazillion keys and the Fork of Horripilation... how? You don't even have a bag! Where does it all go!?

You should be limited to item slots, and everything appears on your character in game. Less handy for moving house, sure, but far more realistic.

Yes he did, but only once. You've heard the story of Noah's Ark, right?

In call of duty 5 you have to unlock scopes and unlocking them is a pain in the ass because some how a scope makes a gun infinitely more powerful. plus, killing un-scoped is impossible unless you're 1 inch away.
