I'm surprised I didn't see this get mentioned a lot more. Motion controllers.. Or is that too obvious and cliche? I think I would have enjoyed Mario Galaxy a lot more if I didn't have to deal with waggling the controller to attack. Half of Killzone 3 seemed to be made up of on rails turret sequences to accommodate the Move. And the Kinect. Well, what can be said that hasn't already been said about the kinect?

What, no mention of the Kinect?

Fuckin' thing kills any and all games that have the misfortune of being developed for it. EyeToy worked better than it and that was on the PS2, which is tragically unfunny.

This might be picky but bad PSU and case combos. This is by no fault of the makers but there are times when you are trying to do good cable management and either the PSU's cords are way to fucking long for no reason or are just shy short to getting plugged in neatly. I can't think of a single time where plugging in the CPU power on the Mobo has ever gone smoothly, conspiracy I tell you. XD

Touch screens.

Not all of them, it works fine for me on stuff like Angry Birds cause one finger is enough. What I don't get are games that require more than 3 to work on such small screens. I can't see a damn thing past my fat, ugly fingers.

Touch screens on the back like the Vita don't work for me either, especially not when I'm working my thumbs, trigger fingers and need the remaining digits to ensure the Vita does not fall off. Granted I don't have to buy if I don't like it, but when the touch pad is pushed as the selling point there is unfair pressure to make the bloody game have it as a major function. And that spoils the gaming I enjoy on the console.

I'm very certain tech for touch screens has now crossed from innovative to gimmicky marketing.

I'll have to make a note of that should I ever go back to Nvidia. Cheers! :).

OT I have to go with all of the flaws mentioned before about gaming laptops.

Although now to immediately contradict myself, I own an Alienware Mx11, and its been the most handy litte laptop ive ever owned :).
That is the only gaming laptop (netbook?) I have ever recommended. Truly portable, (anything over 13" is a PITA when you actually spend a significant time on the road ) decent battery life if not gaming (and you turn the bling lights off), and an absolute powerhouse for its size. I can't believe Alienware discontinued it. Anyone, if you can find a R3 spec m11x buy it now. There is nothing else like it.

OT: Cheap cases I guess, I get around that by buying nice ones that don't shred your fingers...oh and the XBOX controller. Luckily Logitech make some dual shock style controllers with an x-input option so I've never really had to use one. I don't think much of consoles, but that is just because they are holding back games with their less RAM than the average phone limitation. Not for much longer though.
