When mom asks me to do completely asinine chores when she knows damn well that I can't pause DDO!
your poor mother :p. Well, I'm sure you wouldn't do what this one guy I heard over his mic doing. His mum was asking him to tidy something up and he starts yelling and calling her names saying he won't do it. I'm thinking "Get off your fat disrespectful arse and help her". He was just going off on one. Suddenly he disconected, and I always like to think his poor mum had enough and smashed his PS3 :D
I do what she asks as soon as I get to a place where enemies won't kill me. But I do keep telling her that I can't pause, and she doesn't get it.

Besides, my number one rule is: DO NOT disturb me when I'm gaming or watching Sci-Fi, unless it's an emergency (classified as someone dying or bleeding)

Moist of the time it's my mom. I don't really mind it when I'm not playing something that demands attention like AC2 because it can be paused. However, if I'm playing MW2 online or something I become extremely annoyed especially if I'm playing with my friends.

And reading these reasons is why I love my parents. Whenever I go back home for a few days, I bring my Xbox. Instead of interrupting me in some way, my mom will actually sit down and watch me play. This is especially awesome in games like Mass Effect and DA:O where I can educate her about games and help her get away from the negative stereotypes. Granted it is annoying answering questions sometimes, but she only does it during combat, not cutscenes, and I'd rather have her educated, then being like my Grandparents and thinking that all games are, and I quote, "Bull Shit."

Got a 7 month old and a needy dog. I have gotten used to playing offline. And I know where the pause button is at all times. Just ticks me off when it is during a cutscene. And games like Sacred 2 that don't allow you to pause or even find a safe spot to chill out. And then set you back possibly hours if you quit.

I know for me it's mainly two things, my kitten and little sister. Now, don't get me wrong, I love them both to death but damn really? My kitten has this ADD thing down to a science, haha I swear, if it's moving she will pounce on it, including the green ring on my 360 when a controller is connecting. It also likes to chew on ALL of my wires, which is no fun...ever. Then my little sister. I don't mind talking with her when I'm not doing anything but when she comes in and I'm playing a FPS online and she finds it absolutely NECESSARY to tell me what her flavor of the week has done this time I just want to scream! I don't mind our girl talks but EURGG!! Then you have those friends who just "don't get" gaming, which is understandable...I think...-eye twitch- But when they ask you simple questions over and over like "are you really talking with people around the world? (Insert girly giggle here) So...that's a bad guy riigghhhhttt?" just makes me foam at the mouth. Rant done :)

Was playing MW2 was just about to get my Harrier's I was going strong with my Model 1887 Akimbo FMJ Combo when my cellphone rang causing me to lose concentration and end up dying. (I know Harriers aren't very impressive but when I get a Harrier my third choice of Chopper Gunner is pretty much in the bag)

wow, so many parental issues.....well, since I moved out recently I havn't had to deal with them. Hwever I have had to deal with a room mate, his girlfriend, and his girlfriends' friend who wont stfu about how videogames are bad. AT one put I almost killed her with the controller for standing in front of me while I was playing Demon's Souls. In her defense though, she's never played a game in her life and doesn't quite understand that when playing a game like Demon's Souls, THE LAST THING I NEED IS A FUCKING DISTRACTION!

Parents who decide to harrass you at just the WRONG moments, phonecalls that are hangups, telemarketers, or even RECORDINGS! (God... makes me wanna punch a kitten... LOL!). Also, people who decide that they are more important then the game your playing when they really have nothing to say that you are interested in at all...
