https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FlAPJNlYtkA&feature=youtube_gdata_player Man, I was drinking at the bar for my Birthday, and I wanted to play some halo 4 when I got home because, really, whats more fun then making team mates mad when you're drunk? I see this and I agree with the whole phishing stuff but really, bad timing. My birthday :(

So what does everyone think? Will this make a difference at all?
Plz no quotes thx!

Ah jeez, my friends tricked me, I didn't see the upload date on the vid before I posted it lol

What exactly are the anons doing to target the hackers?

Also, why was that video posted in February?

...is this why xbox.com is broken as hell right now?

That's rather annoying. Chalk up another reason for me to hate Anonymous.

Good thing I didn't happen to get a Halo craving today then. Really, this just further cements Anon's status as an amorphous mass of assholes.

Happy birthday dude! < Most important thing here. Maybe it's a good time to play some single player games then if the on-line is knocked out? Is it still under hack-assault?

wat.

Either way, what a horrible way to go about that. People pay for Xbox Live, and locking paying people out of that is defeating when they are trying to target people who are scamming paying people out of money.

I'm assuming they just DDOSed it, rather than hacked it.

Anyway, they're still a bunch of stupid script kiddies, and the lowest of the low of hackers in my opinion. They also pretend to have a point behind what they're doing and most of them really don't.

The LIVE service is fine, it went out for, like...two or three hours last night.
Actually, scratch that. While you can connect to LIVE, you can't do ANYTHING with it.
Xbox.com is still a unresponsive piece of crap but in my experience, that's normal. :p

Also, happy birthday OP.

I came into this thread thinking the exact same thing, but now that I think of it, it may be in response to the rumors of the always online consoles that are coming out. Nip it in the butt before it happens type of deal.

Are they just throwing a random bunch of "cool" words around? We are legion, we do not forget we do not forgive? What?
I've never bothered with Anon but this feels as if they are trying to show that their hacking has a point.
It doesn't

I agree, it seems like they are just getting worse too. I found the video too horrible to watch so I don't know if they gave any reason this time, but I'm sure it was something stupid. I have seen them advocating free speech and taking down websites that disagree with their opinions. Yeah, newsflash, it's not free speech if you're going to attack those with different opinions.

Oh dear now I guess the PSN users are going to be all over this after the reaction a lot of Xbox fanboys had to the PSN outrage lol, this should be good.

Oh yeah, Anonymous. Real effective there. You show those hacking fuckers.

...

I'm sorry, did I sound insincere?

No really, I support Anonymous most of the time, but when you do something that does not even have a possibility of affecting the problem, that's just ridiculous. At least vandalise Microsoft's website or something - or hey, this is the internet, you're fighting scammers, there are LOTS of other things you can do. But no, interrupt service of XBL for a few hours, that'll stop the scammers and hackers.

I wonder how many people remember the month long outage. :p A dude where I worked had just gotten the new Mortal Kombat and was stoked because he was taking his week vacation. Only so that the outage could occur literally the same day he went to take his vacation. Let's just say he was a little more than aggravated. xD

Anon is not nearly the same thing as anmoose. Anon is... well I can't use the words required to explain anon here, but lets just say...
Good for them, the goal I saw of getting Justin Bieber to delete his twitter account is a just one. Onward Christian soldiers march.

It makes them sound like some sort of vengeful internet elephants:

Maybe that's why they're so cranky all the time, they're just scared of the computer mouse!
