Aww... don't...
I like going on there....

There is a difference between making a public statement and being a pain to a wide range of innocent people...

Kinda like the difference between picketing the Mt. Franklin water company or taking a leak in a random scattering of bottles in their factory...

yeahhh this isnt going to happen. i would enjoy watching the fireworks but if anon even follows through with this, i seriously doubt facebook is going anywhere. i havent really followed anonymous very much but i cant think of a time when they have really taken down any organizations and the only time i have actually supported them or cared about them at all, is when they were attacking scientology

"Remember, remember..."

Well, I think that if the info they revealed is true, and they truly intend to fulfill their threat, then it must be done. God help all those who are too tied to their facebook pages.

But, at least, it will serve as a warning to other social networks.

*Grabs popcorn*

This should be good...
*sits down*

This is gonna be entertaining isn't it.......can I have some popcorn?
Got room for two more? This is something I can get behind and can't wait to see the carnage. Either way, I can't lose, taking a dislike to both parties. Play on Gentlemen!

Calumon: You all sit and watch people fight? That's mean!

Jack: Do you want them to share the popcorn?

Calumon: I'll be good! :3

Yawn. I'm not a big facebook fan, so whatever.

Well, I guess it would be pretty interesting to see how people would react if they succeeded.

I don't think I can take any messages given to me through Microsoft Sam seriously.
Hope they balls up. Then everyone involved will give up this hacking baloney and go and do something half meaningful with their lives.

Anonymous: Good at hacking, Awful at politics.

Really, regardless of the merits of their claims regarding Facebook & privacy, I can't think of a way to turn more people against them faster than by attacking Facebook. Especially if they succeed.

Also, I suppose it wouldn't be hard to fake an anyonymous release. it's just speech synth overlaid on a fuzzy title card.

I'm slightly miffed since this is my primary way of staying in contact with people that I wouldn't otherwise.

I hate Anonymous nothing more then a bunch of internet bullies and scum.
...You hate an undefined group of people, pursuing freedom of information?
There are anons doing good stuff; these aren't one of them.
Pursuing freedom of information by stealing peoples private information, yeah well done there.

Am I the only one who felt like that was just the ramblings of an internet conspiracy theroist? Added to that I just can't take the things seriously when they use the Microsoft Sam voice, thats kiddy grade video work for people who supposedly could hack into anything if they potentially wanted it.

*sighs*

Anyways, I don't see it happening. Either from it just being a big ol' fake or the fact that your not going to be able to take down facebook without what would basically be 75% of the planet turning against you because of it... that and if you want to take them down and 'destroy' them, why exactly are you giving them a warning and time to prepare for it? Surely they can will be able to put in some procedures to help prevent a total collapse of their site... but I'm not tech guy so I don't really now... I'm off to bed, sorry if I ended up ramblng myself x3

So can we finally agree that Anonymous is longer some under-dog group fighting for people but rather has finally revealed themselves to be the self-serving cunts who don't actually understand anything and just like bullying people that they are?

Can I finally get an "I told you so!" in here?!

This site really is just full of misanthropes and the socially awkward. I mean, I'm certainly not facebooks biggest fan. Just another way for people to keep tabs on you. But I don't dislike it for the reasons you all seem to.

Like it or lump it. It's a great way for us people with friends to keep in contact over long distances and arrange nights out etc.

I can't tell you how many text messages that website has saved.

Rules for enjoying facebook.

1: Use a pseudoname.

2: Say nothing incriminating... ever.

3: If you can't obey rule 2. Only say incriminating things in safe private messages.

4: Only use your wall to post funny jokes you heard or tales of funny incidents that might of happened. We don't need a constant life story. There are blogs for that.

5: Only add and accept people you genuinely like. If you have over 500 friends, you're kidding yourself. 50-150 is probably slightly more accurate.

Stick to those 5 rules and you will have a pleasant time on facebook. Social interaction is good, M'kay.
i broke rule 1, and i have a common name apparently. if you were to google my name you would get a bunch of people, none of them me.
OT: well i hope they have fun with this. it seems like theyre big fans of Google+.

I honestly can't believe that Facebook is the biggest fish they could fry... This just smacks of them wanting to show off after Sony...

My thoughts exactly, and as I said in one of the lulzsec topics, if you want strict controls and new laws placed on the internet, then rampantly hacking popular things is the best way to go about that.

If parents suddenly get upset about things being hacked, do you think the politicians will form a committee to get the bottom of why the hackers are upset, and work it out? Or will they go with what they think will look better to voters and propose controls to be put in place?
