It is an obvious reference to the deus ex machina, which was used in greek tragedy when a person playing the god was held in the sky using a primitive crane, it litterally translates to god from the machine, which is what the quote at the end refers to.

EIDT: Not to mention that there's a reason that it has a different name- Eidos didn't make Final Fantasy. So if that's their reason, which I highly doubt (see: hope) it isn't, that's even more fucking pathetic.

Are there computer heroes? Isn't the idea that everyone on the internet is anonymous and therefore everyone is a coward? IDK. Yeah, that's a good plan. Never mind that not all hackers go around breaking into game sites or networks to steal personal data. Some of them do good things, like, say, working for the FBI or another law enforcement agency to try and catch the hackers who use their skills to do illegal things like stealing personal info!

Saying all hackers should die because of some people doing bad things with hacking is like saying all cops should die because of a few dirty cops, or that all priests should die because some of them abused children.

Bad logic. If there were no hackers, there would be no need for hax-savvy anti-hackers.
