Are you terrorists? Seriously? Why are you attacking people who believe in SOPA!? I get it, it is a bad bill, but media companies need protection and obviously have interest in backing SOPA. But still after SOPA is dead in America you are still attacking American companies.
Do you hate free speech?
Are they not entitled to an opinion?
Are you everything you say your not and nothing you say you are?
You look like an internet bully trying to force your views on people. I would go so far as to say this proves you are a loose band with no direction, your most recent "attacks" risk turning SOPA from a dead bill into something we NEED NOW! From this point forward I oppose you and see you as the terrorists you are. I believe SOPA needs to be reworked to protect the interests of American media companies from anonymous.
It's still a bad bill and it is detrimental to my rights. I wont deny that media companies need to find a way to deal with piracy, but this isn't the correct way.

Incidentally I have no affiliation with Anonymous but seeing how you take anarchic group and assume it has a uniform opinion I thought I'd roll with the silliness.
This is the expected reaction. But really, Anom is going to push SOPA through by rallying against it now that it's dead. Making the bill a necessity isn't going to prevent it from getting passed.

Its been so long since I've done this, I'm going to point out what I think is a fallacy in each part of the post.
>Are you terrorists? Seriously?
More or less. It's weird.
>Why are you attacking people who believe in SOPA!?
Well you see...
>it is a bad bill
>but media companies need protection and obviously have interest in backing SOPA
"Backing" means "give aid to", no? You said so yourself, SOPA was a bad bill that did NOT need to be aided. If you don't like SOPA, you probably don't like the supporters.
>But still after SOPA is dead in America you are still attacking American companies.
The bill dies, the idea forever lives on. They try to make a point that when you censor something, people get mad. Very, very mad.
>Do you hate free speech?
They love free speech, that's why they oppose censorship. Duuuh.
>Are they not entitled to an opinion?
The Congress is entitled to their opinion, but they're putting their opinion ahead of the millions of people they're supposed to represent.
>Are you everything you say your not and nothing you say you are?
That would be...?
>You look like an internet bully trying to force your views on people.
Did the pot call the kettle black?
>I would go so far as to say this proves you are a loose band with no direction
Anonymous has been nothing but! It's an idea, not a set group of people with rules.
>your most recent "attacks" risk turning SOPA from a dead bill into something we NEED NOW!
SOPA is more or less dead, the public is well informed of America's acts of censorship, and a majority are against it; I don't think Anonymous is going to cause everyone to flip sides.
>From this point forward I oppose you
They don't care.
>and see you as the terrorists you are.
They still don't care.
>I believe SOPA needs to be reworked to protect the interests of American media companies from anonymous.
You and everyone else.

The point of their attack is to prove that it doesnt matter if they pass the bill it wont solve the problem. They are right. Problem is the senators are all idiots when it comes to anything with a chip in it (as they blithely ask what potato is doing in a phone har har har) and this will be presented to them as a reason the companies need protection completely ignoring the fact that noone can actually catch the people who put it there.
They are right to fight back, but the way they are doing it is dumb. Also, I believe it was the back catalogue of sony they put up....Thats not an American company.
Also if you think what they are doing is bullying, what about the dicks trying to force this bill not just on the USA BUT THE WORLD! "We", as in "the people not in the USA", do not get a say in this but their actions INTRINSICALLY affect us ALL. To make the senators actually listen to sense some of the biggest sites in the WORLD had to go down to even BE HEARD! Only one dissenting voice in the ENTIRE debate in the congress was allowed and it was from Google and got poo hooed.
How is that NOT bullying. Its 2 or 3 big companies forcing their opinion ON THE ENTIRE WORLD with us having NO SAY!

Seriously though, just no. Anonymous are targeting people who are attacking free speech. While I may not agree with their tactics Anonymous are sending a message that this type of bullshit legislation isn't going to be put up with. Sure SOPA and PIPA may be pretty much dead but that doesn't mean an equally bullshit law isn't going to come along. I mean look at H.R. 1981 or the Protecting Children From Internet Pornographers Act [http://www.webpronews.com/h-r-1981-is-a-turd-wrapped-in-cotton-candy-2012-01], which basically forces ISPs to keep a record of IP addresses and credit card transactions, masquerading as a bill to combat child pornography. And nobody's going to vote that down are they? What congressman or senator wants to look they oppose a bill that stops child pornography?

SOPA isn't about piracy. It's no more about piracy than DRM or Project 10-dollar were, and no more effective at dealing with piracy. Piracy is a real problem, but the only relation it has to SOPA is that it is being used as a scapegoat so that, rather than explaining the bill as an attack on user-generated content, they can say they're combating piracy.
Just as DRM is circumvented within days of product release, SOPA can be circumvented by simply typing in IP addresses rather than domain names to get to a site. As an antipiracy measure it would be an absolute failure. The real reason SOPA exists is to shut down sites that host user-generated content so that the large publishers of media don't have competition from independent artists, bloggers, and filmmakers.
Just like how the movie studios tried to attack the VCR in the 70s and 80s, they are attacking the internet now. Only they can't say they're doing this, so they say they're doing it to fight piracy. That the bill really won't affect torrent sites but will allow Youtube, facebook, and sites like the Escapist to be shut down is not so talked about.
You are being lied to by people who are uncomfortable with your ability to create without needing to go through them, because they worry about how much money they won't be able to leech off you if and when you do create something. They've been in business for decades, and are really unhappy with the fact that the internet has made their business model obsolete. In truth, no one needs them anymore, but they are going to try to stay relevant for as long as they can, and that means denying people the ability to use the technology that made them obsolete. In a representative government, that means getting people like you to act against your own interests. So far you've been very pliable in that regard. I hope you'll think more carefully about the situation at some point.

From what I know of Captcha, that may be exactly what it is. Apparently one of the words is part of a scanned document that is not ideal for automatic image-to-text conversion, and the other is the same standard procedurally warped text test that we've been seeing for years. The idea is that by getting humans to translate one word at a time, these documents can be digitized more accurately. This is why, supposedly, you only have to get the warped word correct.
Thing is, I'm not sure if that's true or not. I just heard it somewhere. Just one of those weird crowd-sourcing things.
Well, I'm glad to see someone who agrees with me. People hacking is ILLEGAL! I don't give a shit if they support SOPA, if you attack people for what they believe in, then you CANNOT claim the moral high ground. Anon is just a bunch of assholes and criminals, they're not fucking batman people,
Seriously, if you support people's privacy being invaded can you really claim that you're better than the people that want SOPA passed...no, no you fucking can't.

It's rather funny how you call them terrorists.
You are obviously watching Fox News to much.
Just look at the situation from this side.
When rebels in Libya where fighting for their idea of freedom, Libyan media supporting the active regime called those rebels terrorists. The western media called them freedom fighters or revolutionists.
But when rebels in the USA fight for their idea of freedom, the USA media calls those rebels terrorists. The internet calls them freedom fighters or revolutionists. I call them Anonymous
Do you notice a pattern here or are you just to ignorant to see?
EDIT:
SOPA was made to censor the internet. Anon is just showing those guys why it's bad to do that. How to show them so that they will understand for sure? Trusting them when they say they understand surely isn't a good solution?
Did you came up with anything?
Take your time... it's not really that hard?
Still didn't get any idea?
If you want some more time to think, just don't open the spoiler. But if you want to read the best way to show them why SOPA and co. are bad bills, read the spoiler.
Censor them back. Once they are heavily censored, they will see why everyone with at least half a brain is against SOPA.

So you're saying that if you have no legal way to fight for your rights, you should just give up your rights and do as you're said?
People supporting SOPA are doing all they can to make the bill pass. Anon doesn't have such political of financial power. Should they just give up? Should they let those SOPA supporters shit over their head and do nothing?
Sorry to disappoint you, but the real world doesn't work like that. No matter what they tell you, not all people are equal and not all people have the same rights. People with money have more power and rights than people without. If they can use their power, I will use "mine". Their power is money, my... our power are our numbers. if they don't allow use to fight at fair terms, we will use force.
Go trough the whole history of humanity and tell me if you find even one, ONE revolution that happened peacefully. NONE. Should have slaves let their owner do as they please? Sorry to break your illusion of this world, but peaceful protesting won't bring you far.
As someone said (I really don't know the name and I hate to quote without knowing it) "The government should fear the citizens, not the other way around." From time to time, people have to show the government why it should fear them, else the government will get the idea that it can do what it wants. And we don't want that, do we?
Look around you, look at the ridiculous laws that pass ever few weeks.
