Another dead headset on the pile...

So, my third wired headset for the 360 has died on me. Same problem as the earlier ones: the mic is dead but the rest of the headset works. Weird in my opinion but still, not much to do about it... :(

Now, here's my question: What sort of 360-headset does my fellow escapists recommend? I'm thinking about wireless (explanation below) or a third party variant.

I've broken all my headsets in the same way: the cord gets caught somewhere and when I move the controller I accidentally pull the cord quite violently. That's why I'm interested in a wireless, however, I've also heard that they tend to malfunction in some manner.

Oh yeah, I live in Sweden, so a "USA-only" headset is out of the question.

Help me!

EDIT: Feel free to recommend any wired headsets as well, but only if they are able to "survive my behavior" (Okay, now it sounds like I'm mentally retarded).

I use a logitech g930. Its a wireless headset. A little pricy, but god is it comfortable.

Not sure what sort of unholy propriety relationships exist on the xbox though, so it may not be compatible :p

I still use my Halo 2 headset from the original xbox (works with the 360, surprising). But yeah, it's not wireless so count that one out.

I use the official 360 wireless mic, which seems to work fine so far. Had it a few months now.
According to my friends, it sounds a little like "I'm sitting inside a box", but that seems to be the only issue so far.

Yep - that's what I'm actually wearing right now. Live in the UK, so you should be able to get it in Sweden too. Not sure on xbox compatibility as I use it with my PC (works under Windows and Ubuntu), but it's survived me so far.

With the charger, you can use it as a wired headset, so if you run out of power midgame, it's not an issue (but my charging cable does have bitemarks on it ¬¬).

I use turtle beach with mine, they are wired but the wire is incredibly long, you can get wireless ones for a bit more

I have turtle beaches as well. My god is that cord long. I could play across the length of my family room.

I too, have the same turtle beach headset, since it has capability for xbox or PC use. I kinda don't mind an extremely long cord; beats a short cord anyway.

I agree with the Xbox wireless headset, I have 3 of them (one broke when I stepped on it) and all 3 still work great.

Mine is a Steel Series Siberia (in red) that I've had for about a year now, still works perfectly. The Siberia series is very comfortable if you wear glasses and it doesn't trap my hair like my old headphones used to :D.

They were a bit pricey though.

I use that one too. Not too expensive, and it's lasted me two years now.

I use Sennheiser PC350s I got on sale, although for the 360 you may need an adapter to plug into the USB slot on the console to even have a chance of making them work. I have heard good things about those Turtle Beach EFX11 headsets before, both here and from other friends.

That thing was sooo funky, but it worked. Halo 2, the highlight of online gaming. RIP.
