...I have decided to add little differences to the choices that you can make. Limitations if you will. I get tired of favorite band/album threads because there are too many choices for me to be comfortable with my selections.
Here is the deal: you will list your top seven (fives and tens are getting over done) favorite albums released since you started buying music. That will limit the years that you are allowed to make your selections and will eliminate the desire to include The Beatles, The Who, Led Zeppelin, etc. unless you are really old. So, what you need to do is include the first album purchased, no matter how embarrassing, and the year it was released, then your top seven. A Best of or re-release does not count, that is just cheating.
Remember, these are your favorites, they do not have to be the greatest of all time, just the ones that you enjoy the most.
My first album that I bought was either the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles soundtrack, or Vanilla Ice's Too the Extreme (remember I said no matter how embarrassing), both were cassettes and both were released in 1990.
1. The Dillinger Escape Plan - Miss Machine (2004)
2. Faith No More - Angel Dust (1992)
3. Refused - The Shape of Punk to Come: A Chimerical Bombation In 12 Bursts (1998)
4. Nine Inch Nails - The Fragile (1999)
5. Mindless Self Indulgence - Frankenstein Girls Will Seem Strangely Sexy (2000)
6. Gnarls Barkley - St. Elsewhere(2006)
7. Lovage - Music to Make Love to Your Old Lady By (2001)
