Well, of course. Yahtzee's videos do all the complaining for them.ccesarano said:Apparently I have the only working version then?and even the 360 version has freezing, shuddering, and cache issues.
On nVidia, they are just being horrible with drivers. My laptop card isn't really being supported, and I need to see if my distributor offers any more recent drivers than the end of 2006. That's nVidia's bad decision, however.
As for complaining on forums, well, yes, of course you see the forums riddled with complaints. People are much more willing to complain, and complain loudly, than praise (unless you check the comments section of one of Yahtzee's videos).
Then Master Chief pwns Hollywood.Article said:Movie ticket sales for October are already being recorded as some of the lowest in recent years. And who?s to blame according to the film industry? Why, Master Chief of course. Several film executives and researchers are convinced that many movie-goers stayed home playing the game instead of venturing out to the theater.
they dropped it because they wouldn't get their 6X profit off of it if they spent more than 40-60mill, it needs a good 80-100 for effects and story that of coarse wont happen, well get something like DOOM *goes into fetal position*unabomberman said:And yet, they don't feel like making a "halo movie"...
Doom 3 fail(sold well)Lance Icarus said:This is just stupid buck passing. First of all, I'm sure ALL forms of media lost a little bit due to Halo 3. Besides, movies all around suck right now. Seriously, it's all remakes and sequels, there's nothing original about it.
...Okay, so video games are kinda doing the same thing. Still, at least they try to innovate the product every time out and make vast improvements. Video game sequels on average get better over time, unlike movies, especially when the first movie was bad.
Besides, where does the movie industry get off blaming video games for it's problems? When a major movie is released, chances are it comes with it's own video game to go with it. On the other side of the coin, movies based on video games always seem to be the biggest draws at the box office. The movie industry should be thanking video games instead of blaming them.
Point taken, but it is true that the games live on innovation. For Doom 3, that was it's immersive levels complete with some of the most atmospheric gaming of it's day. Quake 4 was...well...Quake. Not a lot of innovation there, huh? Also, I think the argument can be made for PoTC's crappy third movie. Face it, it really did suck. Movies can usually only go only about three before it's pointless. See Rocky and Star Wars.ZippyDSMlee said:Doom 3 fail(sold well)Lance Icarus said:This is just stupid buck passing. Quake 4 fail(didnt sell well)
Dues ex 2....(its dues ex 2,fail ail fail)
Dont even get em started on final fantasy theres been zero innovation in it for the last 2 or 3 games, the last fun one was FF9.
Games do tend to do better than movie seqaules, unless tis a movie like POTC or LOTRs a prupose built 2-3 film deal where quality dose not down the toilet(spider man and Xmen do not count, they suck seqaule wise LOL).

Also, I think we can all agree Final Fantasy is a freak that can be a jar of mayo for 40 hours and people will still buy the next game. It's like Madden for RPGs.
Exactly. I stopped reading because of Halo 3.Lance Icarus said:This is just stupid buck passing. First of all, I'm sure ALL forms of media lost a little bit due to Halo 3.
