I'm loving the Ebony Mail--that's the artifact mail, not regular armor. It's black with midnight blue highlights. Throw in the fact that it makes me nigh impossible to find when I'm sneaking--I've cleared entire dungeons without being spotted now that I have it--the armor rating is through the roof, and it constantly damages any foe that gets close to me, and I'm think it's the best armor in the game.

My Nord warrior looks epic in his Dragonplate set. I do also love the Ebony Armour, but the Dragonplate is just sexual.

My favourite light armour is the Nightengale set.

I'm actually not a big fan of the nightingale armor. It looks way too cluttered and extravagant to me, like it was some kid's hyped up impression of what ninja looked like.

Just doesn't really seem to fit with a super secret group dedicated to protecting what basically amounts to the goddess of subtlety.

Armour? Not really...

I like the Archmage robes... My orc looks absolutely fabulous wearing it.
How can an orc be fabulous? I don't think words orc and fabulous should even be used in the same sentence.
That's debatable I think, I do have some awesome screenshots to prove my point but the problem is I still don't know if Bethesda is allowing me to post them due to copyright issues...

Depends what I'm doing. If I'm moping around I'll wear simple clothes like Raidents raiment with other finery, Dovahkiin looks smooth in his downtime. (Not armour, but slightly relevant).

If I'm out doing Dark Brotherhood/ Thieves Guild quests or behaving like a member of either, Nightingale is the best. You get a cool cape, mask and hood with a symbol. Yes, that's right, combine my home clothes with my night time sleuthing quests and I am in fact Bavahkiin, Bat born-Batman.

If I'm questing companions or cave crawling I'll dress in my best Ebony/Daedric. If it's an adventure to find something legendary-ebony makes me look like a knight. Just generic bandit slaughter, Daedric, because I want the last thing those rapists, murderers and thieves to see to be my demonic looking face sending their soul to Oblivion.

Dragon plate armour I use for my end of the day routine before turning the game off. Dovahkiin makes a new, temporary save file and starts to massacre the population of Skyrim single handedly. We've all done it.

Stormcloak armor for general adventuring, Nightingale for sneaky time (sometimes I'll use Guild Master armor), Ebony Armor for heavy duty adventuring, and sometimes I'll don the Wolf armor but the kilt looks weird on males.

Oh yeah, and Boethiah's Ebony Mail for battle mage mode.

The Dwarven armor looks cool to me. It reminded me of Space Marine armor. I mean, look at the resemblances! Take away the helmets and the similarities are uncanny!

Don't have an overall favorite so here.

Daedric Armor finally looks bad-ass again.
No, not Oblivion bad-ass, Morrowind bad-ass.
Truly black and red again, in oblivion it looked pathetic. But now in Skyrim, it feels right.

Redesigned Ebony style looks good too. Replacing the gold trim with silver really does it for me.

Dragon plate looks pretty sweet too, but is let down by the helmet.

Ancient Nord Armor is the opposite, the helm looks sweet. But the rest is naff.

Nightingale gets a mention for reminding me of Darth Revan from KOTOR (also steel plate = Mandelorian)

Thieves guild Looks awesome too, better than standard Dark-brotherhood armor by miles.

And overall, the redesigned base armor Iron, fur, steel, leather, hide etc. are all brilliant looking, much better than Oblivion, ith exception to the DarkBrotherhood armor

I've always been a fan of the Hide armor, giving me that rugged hunter look. The Steel Plate set looks great with that winged helmet as well.

The Dragonscale set looks alright, I suppose. I must admit, I found the Dragonplate armor to be... Undesirable. Far too bulky and out of the ordinary for my taste.

But my absolute favorite? I'd have to cast my vote for the steel plate Legion armor. Not only am I representing the Legion, but I'm looking good while doing it.

This is my armour setup in skyrim:

Helmet: Nightgale hood (Flawless)
Necklace: Amulet of Talos
Armour: Ebony Mail (Legendary)
Gloves: Wolf Gauntlets (Legendary)
Boots: Daedric Boots (Legendary)

This gives a total armour rating of 444

A small detail:

Using this with Daedric Bow (Legendary) (Enchantments: Fire Damage +46 damage and Shock +46 damage) will make you a total badass when the bow got only 126 damage(excluding enchantment damages). You can also get better forging and enchanting which could give you a 5k+ bow :p

I kind of like the Dark Brotherhood armor, aswell as the Nightingale armor. For Heavy armor I love the Steel Plate and Ebony armor. I don't like the shoulders on the Deadric armor, I also like the Heavy Dragonbone armor. The Helmet looks cool on my Argonian. The Dragon Priest masks are cool too.

My favourite is glass armour. It looks beefy but not ridiculous, ornamental but not to fussy. I also really like the colours of it. Plus, it being light armour means I can move around quicker and carry way more stuff.

I'm partial to the regular old thieves guild armor. I think it just looks so.... rogue-ish. Love it. Of the standard armors, I like glass. The only exception is if the character is an orc, in which case you MUST wear full orcish. Skyrim did orcish armor PERFECT (at least on orcs, it looks stupid on everyone else).
