Hmm I am continually offended that these groups always use "family" in their names. It has become so bad that the words "family" and "family values" instantly turns your mind to anti-gay rhetoric. A nice wholesome word, family, suddenly feels like a oozing glop of intolerance (and in some cases abject stupidity).
Family values have nothing to do with gays. It is spin to make, what is in the end, bigotry sound wholesome and it disgusts me.
I've formed a rule: The more positive sounding name an organisation etc. has, the more likely they're complete knobgoblins. "Family" is one of the words in a title that gets me really critical.
@RaikuFA - Wasn't Flea transgender or transsexual (I don't know the terminology)? Not that it matters to groups like these.
@tony2077 - I don't see how we're more doomed because this sort of attitude happens towards games. What is sad is that this kind of stuff still keeps happening.

Nice damage control there EA, I'm sure that the timing of these news have nothing to do with the nice award you just won, I'm sure that you aren't at all trying to correlate the buttfuck-retarded family values people with the Consumerist poll.
Bioware has been using this strategy for a while: "If you don't agree/like us/sing our endless praises then you must be a homophobe."
Of course it goes without saying that any American organisation with the word "Family" in it's name is to be disregarded without any further inspection.
Really? Really. The first people who started flooding the Metacritic reviews were complaining about the homosexual options in Mass Effect 3. One would be forgiven to initially get the impression that that is the problem. For most it isn't, but that doesn't mean the few rotten apples can't be on top of the pile and spoil the image of the rest of them.
The word "family" rarely appears in the name of an organisation without the people in it being dilweeds. You have a problem with people reacting like that? Try to get idiots to stop using the word in their organisations just because they want to be the ones defining other's morals.
Granted, EA hasn't been above causing fake protests before, so they could be trying to get sympathy towards themselves. After all, that was the only previous time I remember when they decided to openly, and officially, ignore the complainers. I could be wrong though.
