Have you heard of this?
My favorite quote is:
Video game addiction is without a doubt, becoming this century's most increasingly worrisome epidemic, comparable even to drug and alcohol abuse. All the while, the video game industry continues to market and promote hatred, racism, sexism, and the most disturbing trend: clans and guilds, an underground video game phenomenon which closely resembles gangs. Parents NEED to be aware of the hidden dangers. lolololololololololololololololololololllllloooooollllll!!!!

I HATE it when I get a nose-bleed in the middle of CS:S.

Though, I would have gotten a tissue at some point.

*Follows link* And when the hell did Manhunt 2 get ported on the Wii?

How do clans and guilds resemble gangs? I don't commit murder and sell drugs for my friends on WoW. Also, 5000 kills? That kid needs to get himself into MLG.

Best part :). If I was drinking something, it would have sprayed all over my monitor from laughter.

I'm imagining my old AoE III or Halo II clans ridin' dirty. I am seeing myself late at night playing Starcraft II with the lights off, in full gangster regalia with a stocking over my head. I'm gazing into the look of fear in my opponents eyes as I push his expansion base on the floor and then stomp on his Zergling rush. Now I'm threatening him with my 9... Stimpack-Upgraded Marauders, and demanding he push the 'Surrender' button and give me all the minerals.

What was I talking about?

Of course! That's why it's a case of Poe's Law.

For those who don't get it, that means it's a parody.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA... BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA....

Hilarious find, I didn't know things like this actually existed. I just want to say, "Lookie here, he pressed the left mouse key, that is as linked to pulling an AK-47 iron-sighted on an Harrier Jet (which has not been introduced into active military use) as doing his homework is."

Clicking your space marines over to the zerg stronghold from the end of a space telescope is as far removed from a God of War spaz out as possible. Even when your playing God of War, most PS3 gamers won't get off their lazy ass to actually kill someone.

I also want to bring this up. Imagine a world where video games are accepted completely and entire WARS are fought in this virtual world. The loss of human life is minimized. Conflicts between eh world powers are dealt out in a FPS RTS hybrid simulation of the world. Its a pleasant thought.

Anyway, none shall hinder the growth of video games as a medium!

Hilarious? Yes.

Painting an image that we want the public to see? No.

We need something to counter this before people start believing games are comparable to drugs or alcohol. Once they think it is as addictive as illegal drugs or alcohol people automatically file it under "Very unsafe habit" in the file systems that are their brains.

I could see this as a commercial, that's why I posted it.

I sincerely do not believe that the general populous thinks video games are in any way dangerous. It is the minority that thinks they are protecting children and society from the horrors of video games that do, and therefore, misinform the ignorant.

The best thing to counter this is the Wii and Kinect. Showing commercials of kids and families having fun with video games. However much I dislike these systems, they are painting a better picture for us.

That is true. I guess we owe Nintendo one....

*ouch*

Okay, maybe we owe Microsoft something too. I'm still not buying an Xbox though.

I know, really, even in Dynasty Warriors or Dead Rising terms, that's a stupidly high number.
