As much as I wish whaling was less prevalent than it is, i wish even more that groups such as this were not allowed to take such extreme measures to try and stop them. I mean think about it. Yes, we like whales, yes we wsh they could be better treated. But to have these people attacked by what looks like a science fiction warship because of their traditioal livelihood is a bit over the top for my liking.

This is the modern world, appeal to the UN or lobby to the Japanese government, thats the way to get thing done nowadays.
Both have been tried, repeatedly, and both have failed.

Frankly I think it's an awesome ship and a worthy cause, and I'm surprised the japanese government hasn't been condemned more for their whaling, especially seeing as some of the whaling took place in Australian waters at one point.

EDIT: also, while I do agree with their cause, I should point out that when the anti-whalers begin to board and sabotage the whalers, that is taking it too far. The only option left may be public demonstration, but that doesn't mean you should increase the already substantial risks faced by any seamen (double entendre not intended) in the Southern Ocean.

Dear God, it looks like that James Bond villains' stealth boat thing from Tomorrow Never Dies.
Well, according to google, it actually looks nothing like it, but that's what it reminded me of.

Huh.

I can't wait for this one to get smashed to bits like the last one. Hopefully this time the eco-terrorists will go down with it.

Didn't they crash their last batman boat into a bigger boat?

Who gave them a new one?

Why bother with the fancy new ship?
The whalers will just sink it like they did the last one.

there's nothing wrong with protesting whaling, but the line is quite firmly crossed when you start attacking whalers.
Aww... I'm the worst ninja ever.

When Eskimos kill and eat whales thats because they need to to survive and they use every single piece of the whale, nothing is wasted. It's a vital life line for these indiginous people.

Japan though, no they don't have any need for whaling especially if they're endangered. And don't give me that tradition bullshit. I suppose it's ok for the Chinese to kill Tigers eh? Because its part of their traditional medicine? NO.

I am shocked at the overt racism ,promoting an obvious terrorist vessel with the name of a theoretical beast that was responsible for single handed destruction of tokyo city and the deaths and displacement of hundreds (if not thousands) of its inhabitants will surely not win good PR for this bunch of radicals with the population of Japan.

Um... that's not racist. I think the key word is theoretical, there never was big monster that killed hundreds Japanese. The only way you could actually stretch it to being racist would be to put an actual bane of Japanese people, like an atom bomb or something. Its definitely not a friendly jest but it ain't racist either, It's just a jest.

It's not going to solve the problem. They should be annoying the people who equipped, paid and ordered the whalers to go and do their job, a.k.a. the suits in the equation.

Also, think of all the money blown on that boat that could have fed starving small African children. Or stopped them from getting AIDS, or gotten them jobs or something. Or freed the slaves. Far out, there's some uses for that money.

Damn, now if only they were doing something worthwhile with that boat instead of what they're currently doing... that'd be awesome.

I can't say I'm a fan of Whale Wars, mainly for the same reason I'm not a fan of PETA... because Whale Wars is essentially PETA's navy.

I love what they are doing and support anti-whaling, so good for them for getting another tool to help them fight the illegal Whaling. They are the only people who are een trying to do something before we possibly lose all the whales

International waters.
Figures. However, doesn't that mean if they get sunk "accidentally" there won't be an investigation?

No way! I want it intact for myself!
The crew may find themselves on a deserted island with a countdown speaker, though. >:D

Seriously, why do these people get such a cool boat? I'm pretty sure they should be banned from getting anything that kickass, given their history of getting themselves run the hell over.

Hmm... I didn't stop to consider that you may of wanted it as a personal yacht. I care not about the crew but can I have their money when you take over the ship?
