I'd also like to add to this thread by saying that if another zombie-shooter is really necessary, that they can go ahead and just use juggalos instead of zombies due to their similar characteristics. The game starts as many shooters do, with a heavily armed, gritty (and obviously "mature) character standing around a trailer park for no obvious reason. He then proceeds to ask someone why the Psychopathic Records logo is called the "hatchet man" when it's obviously carrying a meat cleaver. The juggalos, being in their natural habitat, then get stirred into a frenzy...

It's just an idea to mull over.

Ghasts are acceptable. They have their own unique characteristics that set them apart from ghouls.

A game simliar to The Witcher but they need some top studios to make one wherein you are a supernatural huter but with no powers woudld be sick.
The World of Darkness has an entire game dedicated to this concept - Hunter I believe It's called. They had a few action games on the original X-Box, but that isn't even close to what you're talking about.

The problem I see with the concept is, if you are just a normal guy going up against undead beings who have stood in defiance of the ordiances of god himself, what chance do you really think you have? Hell, even a weak vampire in the WOD universe is dramatically superior in virtually every way to a human - they are stronger, faster, more durable, and quite often simply smarter. The only way such a game could be true to the idea that the PC has no special powers is if the villians he faced were significantly less powerful than contemporary lore indicates, or if it were a multi-player game.

Back before you could play one as a character race.
Nice choice on the deathknights from dragonlance. I completely forgot them as an idea.

I've never quite gotten the whole Zombie thing.
Me neither, why are nerds so obsessed with them??

Maybe it's what Yahtzee said... The breakdown of society is attractive to those with no social skills, and although they may have to hide from zombies their whole life, at least the big boys will never again throw them into a bin and kick them down the stairs. xD

Crypt Fiends from Warcraft III
(If you don't know what those are, they are basically spiders three times the size of a normal human soldier, and they send very small spiders to their target that eats them a chunk and than goes back to it's original owner. But I could be wrong about the eating part, since a green goo always spawns under the enemy soldier.
Ow yeah, they can also burrow themselves and go back up in a matter of seconds. Excellent for ambushes or trapping.)

Cool, although thinking about it some more I'll stick with Mohrgs. The idea of having the bodies of murderers and other unrepentant sinners being controlled by evil parasites is pretty awesome.

I've got to admit, I'm getting tired of zombies and horribly mutilated and reanimated corpses. When are they ever going to make a game about other horror icons like Frankenstein?

EDIT: Dammit.

Same, well until Stephanie Meyer does a book on sparkly zombies that are just misunderstood and only eat the brains of animals.

Well obviously your hero has trained a bit and there are the likes of Van Helsing and Jonathan Harker who fought the undead evil as normal people. And other people, but I just wish to play game where you dont have to use magic but you have guns and things as such.

I'm getting kinda bored with zombies. You always know what to expect: huge shambling hordes of peeling, mindless civilians. That's why I like stuff related to Lovecraftian mythos. You never know what messed-up abominations you'll expect.

Neither example represents a "normal" person. While neither is explictly said to have super powers, they routinely demonstrate superhuman levels of strength, speed and skill. Just becaue Van Helsing isn't superman doesn't stop the simple fact that he commands powers that dramatically exceed his normal human contemporaries.

Well years of training does that for you :D. Anyways just an example I dont want a freaking magician who can pretty much slay all with one bolt but rather someone who fights his way with guns and stuff.

Just random theory.
