Tragic news guys and galpals. Anton Yelchin, probably best known as Chekov in the rebooted Star Trek series, has died in a car accident.
He was 27. This is simply a tragedy.

If that's it, that's it. The news articles I read just said car crash.Saelune said:Car crash? From my understanding he got accidentally crushed by his own car that presumably wasn't braked right and rolled into him.
A few undetailed places say car crash, but that suggests that someone was being irresponsible. This was just an unfortunate freak accident.Silentpony said:If that's it, that's it. His publicist has said he died "in a tragic traffic collision".Saelune said:SNIP
So, yah. His car was in neutral and it pinned him to his mail box. A tragic and terrible way to go. I hope his family is doing well (As well as one could hope), and hopefully some young people will learn a little about car safety from this.A fatal traffic collision happened in Studio City. On Sunday, June 19 at 1:10 in the morning, a fatal traffic collision occurred. It was the result of the victim?s own car rolling backwards down his steep driveway, pinning him against a brick mailbox pillar and security fence,? said LAPD spokesperson Jenny Hauser. ?The victim was on his way to meet his friends for rehearsal. And when he didn?t show up, his friends went to his house, where they found him deceased by his car. It appeared he had momentarily exited his car leaving it in the driveway.
He's slightly younger then me, and it's kind of freaking me out. I think I'm in the zone where bad, deadly things are going to start happening to me through sheer brute force of 'Days being alive.'CrazyGirl17 said:Yeesh, poor guy, what a way to go. And the fact that he was only slightly older than me doesn't help...
My condolences to his family, friends, and co-stars.
