Star Wars Battlefront II. My PS2 scratched the disk to shreds and my dad promised to buy me another one. Broken promise, right there.
Graphics are so much better on the PC anyway. :) I've got it for both.

FF8 disc 2 got a scratch in it during the parade.
It'd be nice if I had a PC capable of playing it on! Then again, it'd be nice if I had a PS2 to play it on...

I would've said Metal Gear Solid and Abe's Oddysee, but thanks to PSN I was able to retrieve them.

System Shock. Evidentially this game is crazy scarce because I cannot find it ANYWHERE for a reasonable sum of money.

Rayman. I miss the original Rayman more than any other game from my childhood.
This and Rayman 2 probably the best sequel to anything ever. Wish I hadn't sold my PS1 now :(

I recently bought Rayman on PSN, just for the sheer nostalgia. But mine would definitely be my Pokemon Yellow, its was buggy as hell and wouldn't let you leave Pallet Town, but dammit, it was my first game and I thought it was brilliant!

Aagh, Mechassault. I loved that game, but it broke when I was taking it out of its case a few years ago.

My original copy of Vampire: The Masqurade - Bloodlines. I fucking loved that game to little tiny pieces.

Put the disk in, haven't played the game for ages, didn't work. Corrupted data, somehow.

I was crushed.

While I still have the game, I wish that the online community would return to Black Hawk Down for the Xbox.
The online was a load of fun (mostly) but when it wasn't made forwards compatible with the Xbox 360 the online multiplayer aspect all but vanished and left those who still owned it and an Xbox with a lame single player campaign and only the most dedicated fans for an online community.
A sad end, Black Hawk Down was really underrated...well the online multiplayer was.

Uhm...Star Control 3. I want to conquer that game again and try to get on peaceful relations with Daktaklakpak. xD
Checkout Urquan Masters, it might have a little bit of what your looking for (except for the weird isometric view)

Otherwise Ubik on the PC

Crysis (the disc's gone... somewhere), and I wish I hadn't gotten rid of Chaos Theory.

Ogre Battle 64. I heard back in the day that the game was legendary but really hard to find. A family friend stumbled across a copy in a pawn shop and I was stoked. But I never beat it cuz I got it right before I bought a Gamecube. Now I have no idea where the cartridge is...

When I was really hurt for money, I sold my copies of Way of the Samurai 1 and 2 for PS2. I recently re-bought 1 for $20, but everywhere I find WotS 2, it's $40+. I guess it's rare or something. I want it back to complete my collection of 1 and 3.

Also, Champions of Norrath. You can still play that game online on your PS3.

Wild Arms 3

My disc got damaged so it is no longer playable. That was, in my opinion, one of the best JRPGs I've ever played.

Earthbound, Secret of Mana, EVO: The Secret of Eden, Paladin's Quest, Super Ninja Boy, Chrono Trigger and several others for my SNES collection. After so many years, my SNES was starting to crap out and the games themselves were starting to be a little dodgy, so I had to sell what I could and throw the rest out. D: ESPECIALLY EARTHBOUND.

On the flip side, one time I sold my original copies of Suikoden I and II. Then I realized what a BAD decision that was. Luckily later on I managed to buy working copies of both of them again!
