What did he say? A CONSOLE RTS?

"The heretic must burn!"

No, but seriously, are there any good console RTSs out there for PS3, Xbox, DS, etc? I'm really hankering for one.

I've only played two console RTS games (Brutal Legend and Halo: Wars) so I was curious to see if you guys knew of any above decent games that I could try out

If you really want to, I think Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth 2 had a console port, but it came out about 5 years ago.

Other than that nothing comes to mind.

EDIT:

That's the only other RTS console game I know.
Hmmm? Starcraft for the N64 you say? I dearly apologize good sir but you must be mistaken, for there was never a Starcraft port and if there was we would never discuss of it ever.

Command and conquer: red alert, for Play Station 1. DON'T QUESTION IT.

None, but if you already liked those Red Alert and Middle Earth might indeed suit you.

The only one I've played is Halo Wars, and that was OK, but far worse than any RTS I've played on a PC.

Console RTSs are like iOS FPSs. Sure, you can make one, but the control scheme will likely sink whatever chance it had of being good.

The only unmentioned game I can think of is Universe at War: Earth Assault, but it's rather average in general and even more so on consoles.

Yeah, Middle Earth 2 and Endwar are pretty great on consoles. I'd also say R.U.S.E., but I only played it on PC... (and didn't really like it that much)
However, I'd advise waiting for Wargame: European Escalation, the follow-up to R.U.S.E. (which is not being edited by Ubisoft)

That game was awesome, even on ps1, even when my poor console couldn't handle my tank army and i had to destriy everything with 10 fps it was still awesome!

It came out in Australia. Currently, only 5000 copies exist.

All i can say is to try and wait for C&C generals 2. Otherwise, try: any other C&C games, Tom Clancy's Endwar, and, I'm not sure if it counts, but try Risk Factions.

If you're the least bit interested in WW2, then I highly recommend R.U.S.E. I love that game. I still play it with a couple of friends to this day.

But really, this game is best played on the PC with at least 1-3 more people to play with.

I personally play it on Xbox, but that's where all of my friends are.
