The only thing I can add that hasn't been ninja'd to death is LoZ four swords and if you want some casual fun multiplayer I'd say mario party 5 (best of the bunch having owned every single one of the series).

And tales of symphonia, near perfection in game form...if you're into JRPGs'

So im getting a gamecube off of my brother and I was wondering: Is there any good games for this work of art? I've already got wind waker in my mind but is there any more?

If you don't own a Wii or can't access the Metroid Prime Trilogy, I'd pick up Prime 1 for the Cube. Also, Rogue Squadron 2 and 3 and F-Zero GX, and the port of the BEST STAR WARS GAME EVER, Jedi Knight 2.

Also, the Cube versions of the Sands of Time Trilogy and the Splinter Cell games are pretty good.

Anyone played Geist? I never got the chance.

(and no, Metroid Prime was not as good as these).
It was so.

On topic - all the games I'd recommend have already been mentioned, good luck finding them.
Disagree. It was a great shooter, but I'd put it more in the league of Turok 2: Seeds of Evil (whose company head went on to found Retro Studios)--a great game overshadowed by Rare's offerings--than GoldenEye. Of course, it still seemed better than it was, since quality shooters tapered off amid a glut of Halo clones in the early 2000s, meaning few matched the quality of those released in the late nineties, Source notwithstanding (Duke Nukem 3D, Quake, GoldenEye, Jedi Knight, Half-Life, System Shock 2, Blood, Quake II, Counter-Strike, Team Fortress Classic, Unreal Tournament)
... Metroid Prime is not a shooter.
Given that it was made in Texas--the heartland of shooters--by a company that's antecedent created shooters, and it principally involves shooting things (like in a shooter) and solving iterative puzzles (like in a shooter) I'd say it is, indeed, a shooter.

I'll try and branch off from stuff that's already been said.
I liked Chibi Robo, if only for how different it is from the norm;
I LOVED Chibi Robo. Horribly underappreciated gem in my opinion, shame the series never continued onto the Wii.

I am going to go a different direction instead of saying all the games that are just repeated endlessly.

I remember there was a game named Cubivore, and I remember it being one of the single most quirky, interesting games I have ever played.

If you haven't heard of it, you should at least look it up.

I'm just going to go ahead and list out from my collection of (awesome) Gamecube games (regardless of how many times they've been mentioned).

Metroid Prime is a classic, absolutely a must play.
Metroid Prime 2 does not quite reach the heights, but for the atmosphere alone it's worth it.
Legend of Zelda Wind Waker has always been a personal pick, I feel it's the best in the series.
Battalion Wars a quirky little real-time Advance Wars spin off, had a ton of fun playing it.
Super Mario Sunshine oft maligned, but wholly enjoyable
Chibi Robo a hidden gem I poured hours into this game has a wonderful charm to it
Pikmin 1 & 2 same as above, the second game is superior shines with Miyamoto's trademark sheen
Paper Mario (title too long) is the best in the Mario rpg series
Mario Kart Double Dash is a blast with friends
Super Smash Bros Melee same as above
Doshin the Giant again, not mentioned much, misunderstood I think, it's a wonderful ambient game
Wario Ware the gamecube version was the best
Animal Crossing if you haven't played the others, give this one a go
Resident Evil the remake is a great survival horror experience (4 is some good cheesy fun too)
F-Zero GX fun, challenging racer

I think I'll leave it there... too many games, feel free to p.m. me if you're looking for any more recommendations!
