I'd be surprised if you haven't played crash bandicoot. And I mean the first one. I also enjoyed CTR (Crash team racing) and Crash bash, two enjoyable spin-offs.

OddWorld: Abe's Oddysee, fun puzzle game with good story, darkly comical with original creatures. Came out recently on PSN for £3.99

The first 2 oddworld games are on steam these days, if you want to play them on PC or Mac.

Any of the spyros. The first one is a bit expensive now, but the other two are still cheap.

No ps1 game is expensive with the power of EMULATORS!.
Funny. Does anyone else think of a superhero with the power to copy anything when you hear the word emulator yelled like that?

The only problem with PS1 emulation is that the ISOs for game discs need to be put back together.
