Ok I understand what is the problem.
Game I am looking for should have good sigle player, online if possible (I can live without it but it would be nice), rather sci-fi than "realistic", also classic horror theme would be nice and i don't care about how old it is. Better?
far!

ok, for scifi:

basically you run around in a mech-suit as a futuristic space marine, killing orcs
does have multiplayer, does have shiny unlockables and stuff.

alan wake is a nice classic creepy game, with shooting

no multi-player, but an immersive singleplayer for sure.

Also I already have Halo.

BTW: I really want to know what "I wouldn't unpack your suitcase though." mean. English is my second langue, you know.
Unlike an unfortunate few of my fellow Escapists, I am going to take this chance to welcome you to the forums, and say hello in a happy, friendly manner. Hello! (waves at OP). And here's a little advice to help you out, since yopu're new and all, and it would be nice to see you contribute to the community without incurring the wrath of the less well-meaning Escapists here like those you have encountered in this thread. At least, they should know better than to expect a brand new user to straight away think you should know all the rules of posting right from the off (though most of it should be there already because it's just common sense, but that's no reason for people to get so mad... :p). Anyway, here goes. When posting a thread, you need to try and include at least a short paragraph in the OP (original post/poster) detailing the poijnt of the thread. Same applies to any post you make, unless there is good reason not to do so, you should always post more than just a sentence, and never a picture or quote on their own without your own contribution. There are also certain types of thread that are frowned on here, but those will reveal themselves with experience and guieline-reading anyway, so I won't go into detail here. Finally, try and learn BB code, it will help a lot when posting. It's not essential, but it does make things easier if you need to post, say, a picture or a video or create spoilers like I have here.

Other than that, welcome once more to the forums, stay out of the Basement (as always!), and I hope you enjoy your time with the Escapist community! :D

Now, back to the topic at hand. I would say Halo, partly as a Halo fanboy myself (albeit the good kind of fanboy, who still notices and accepts flaws in my favourite works). However, you have already stated you have that, so fair enough. My other big, good, franchise for Xbox 360 then would be Gears of War. Easily a great third-person shooter, and certainly worth your time. Lost Planet is another good one, though some may disagree with me there. Third-person again, and woefully underrated. I haven't played the sequel (it has apparently decent multiplayer though), but the first game is pretty damn excellent, with a very good single-player campaign. Certainly worth a look, at least renting if you're unsure...

Ok, I will work on that.
In the meantime, what about Duke Nukem Forever and RAGE -are they as bad as reviews said?
duke nukem really fell flat, it was simply in development too long and it's single-player is... odd because of it.

rage has some technical issues, that don't plague consoles too much but the actual shooting and guns and enemies feel wrong by most counts, i don't have it so i cant really tell you more than that

the general consensus on the net is to avoid those two, yes

If you like Sci-Fi shooters with a solid single player, i can highly recommend Dead Space, either 1 or 2. It's a wonderful third person shooter with a strong horror element and with a twist - the monsters you shoot can only be killed by cutting off the limbs. That means instead of following typical conventions like going for the head, you have to aim for the arms and legs to properly disable your opponent. It can lead to some extremely tense scenarios in which you're desperately trying to blast the squirming tentacles off a creature, or the arms of a severed torso that's racing towards you. It's very action packed and atmospheric. My only advice is not to expect anything from the multiplayer portion of Dead Space 2 as the community is now very likely dead.

Edit: With regards to Duke Nukem and RAGE. Unfortunately Duke Nukem is the result of being twelve years of vaporware, meaning that the design is up the wazoo and every element of it feels horribly dated. Avoid it at all costs.

RAGE is a beautiful looking game with some novel elements like constantly having to scrounge for cash and supplies to keep your ammo stocked, as well as some light exploration elements with your vehicle outside of instanced areas like bandit hideouts. It is an enjoyable shooter, but a nonsensical story and continual repitition will likely drag you down once you start to notice it. For example, in zones with mutants, it's always the same single type of mutant - the little guys who run up and try to club you. Likewise, it's always the same three or four bandit types with the same old guns. Every firefight begins to feel the same and despite being given new toys to play with like explosive RC cars and sentry bots it can't shake that feeling of monotony. Then again i played it from start to finish without anything else in between so i may have felt that more due to excess. Lastly, as i said earlier, please don't go into it expecting any sort of story that makes sense. Your protagonist is a mute and just goes along with what everyone tells him. You don't even have any primary antagonists to speak of except for the shadowy Authority - of which you're not really told why they're evil to start with.

It's good to use the quote button as it will inform people when you reply to them like i am now.
OT: rage is good and got way to much abuse from some, while duke nukem, is beyond awful, I don't care if people say i got pulled in by hype (I was never looking forward to it) It's just a god awful game with bad gameplay and depressing jokes.

Oh noes, I loved Duke Nukem 3D, Doom, Blood and Quake, So I had high hopes for these two.
I've checked video reviews and Gears of war looks good, so do Dead space and Alan wake.
Tough choice, but those games sure stay on shelves long enought for me to decide.

Singularity is a good sci-fi shooter. It's a simple question why is everyone such a dick?
Second That opinion ,it's fot an interesting mix of time wrap gimmick, gunplay and some horror moments (the school level early on creeps me out) ,you can even get it for dirt cheap now !

About quoting, I saw reply buton and thought it means "reply to a comment" but it is just reply to a topic. I promise I will be careful.

While the Escapist might be fairly strict, it allows it to be the most open minded and most enjoyable gaming forum around.

Would you like to look into Shoot 'em ups? Stuff like Gradius, DoDonPachi, Ketsui? For Xbox 360 there's a japanese company called Cave that do alot of recent ones.
