Anybody know of any good Wii Rpgs, preferably JRPGs?

There's a couple I've seen around (can't remember the names) but, Xenoblade is coming to PAL regions in September.

There's Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World but I don't know if it's actually good or not. If you're in europe, there's the Sakura Wars: So Long My Love.

Also, LoZ isn't an RPG.

There's plenty of classics on the virtual console. As for retail, I really like Super Paper Mario. It's an "action-RPG" where the action is platforming...really interesting.

Other than that, I can't really think of anything, but I'm sure someone more caught up in current J-RPGs can list some more.

Was Earthbound ever released on the Wii Console?
No. I think Nintendo of America is predicting some copyright issues if they release it these days.

Any copyright/Earthbound experts that might be able to explain the problem? What's changed since Earthbound's original release?

Good Wii action RPG would be Monster Hunter 3. Definitely worth picking up & playing. It's pure win.

The entire environment is a lot more lawsuit happy. What could've flown back in the 90's can't fly now.

This guy explained it better. [http://earthboundcentral.com/2009/02/earthbound-legal-issues/]

Download the original paper mario off the N64 virtual console, it's a cracking RPG and pretty funny in places. Well worth a go for £6

If you didn't already own a GameCube you might now utilise the Wii's backwards compatibility. There really only are four GameCube RPG's available in the west, and three of them (Tales of Symphonia, Paper Mario 2 and Baten Kaitos) are really good. I would really recommend those besides what is already mentioned here.

Furthermore, the SNES classics Final Fantasy VI, Chrono Trigger and Secret of Mana are available on the Virtual Console for a low price.

Oh, and sorry for nitpicking: but Zelda games (except for part two) are not RPG's but fall within the Action/Adventure genre.
