I have noticed a trend in online multiplayer on my Xbox: most online games are either Shooters(L4D, Halo, Gears .....) or racing games (make up your own list , there are enough).
As I am not very fond on both of these genres, what online-multiplayer game is left outside in this world dominated by guns and cars?

Well those are the types of games made for multiplayer as they are competitive.

The only others I can think of are Xbox Live Arcade games: 'Castle Crashers' and 'A Kingdom of Keflings'. The first is a little like 'Golden Axe' and the latter is like 'Settlers' or any other city-building game (except you use your Xbox Live Avatar).

Both have free trial versions so I'd suggest giving them a go.

Castle Crashers is uber fun online. But if you like RPGs get Lost Odyssey, it makes great use of the unreal engine(and it's not a shooter =O). Or if you like card games try Culdcept Saga, I got that for 10 bucks at bestbuy.

Sid's Civilization is a interesting for a strat game, so is crystal defenders

Lost Odyssey, Tales of Vespara, Eternal Sonata, Enchanted Arms, The Last Remnant(install on hard drive or it will lag waaay to much), Infinite Undiscovery, Phantasy Star Universe(good MMORPG and not a space hog like FFXI), Fable 2, Blue Dragon, The Elder scrolls 4, and Fallout 3(but thats a FPS RPG with shootings).

sorry sir but I have to doubt that. It is very funny when you finally have accumulated a party of 4 people, but the route there.... you need to make your way throught at least 5 games that end whithin 3 minutes with 2-3 shouty people... not my Idea of funny.....

Absolutely none of those games have Xbox live capabilities bar Phantasy star - most are good games - I congratulate you on your taste.

Well Culdcept Saga is online(idk how well I never got on cause I'm working on other games) and it's a interesting game, a lot of people call it a mix between magic the gathering and monopoly.

May I recommend Final Fantasy 11? This game is the only good MMORPG game available on the Xbox 360. The game is a subscription-based game and comes with 30 day Free Trial. It is an outdated game but the game is being consistently updated.
