Devil May Cry 4 is not worthy of tremendous appraisal, but it's worth picking up at least.

There's a lot out there once you stop looking towards everything that is mainstream.

Brutal Legend. A console RTS that doesn't just try to remake Starcraft with worse controls, but is designed to work on a controller from the start! And instead of controlling an army from above you play as your faction's leader, commanding your troops while you fight alongside them. It's a bit hard to learn, but incredibly fun once you do.

Depends what your into. I like sports games. So I play FIFA 11 NHL 11 fight night. Both NHL 11 and Fifa 11 have a clubs feature which lets you make a player and control him and him only. So you can play all 11 positions in Fifa and all 6 positions in NHL. If you've got a few mates It's very good fun.
