Well, I tried lefty gaming once (that is, flipping the button configuration over). Not that it worked.
What does being a righty or lefty have to do with gaming, surely it makes no difference in ability?
Only thing I know it'd affect is your Guitar Hero or Rock Band controller.
Anyway, I'm a righty but occasionally flip my mouse & keyboard round so I use my left hand for mousing and my right for general keyboardery.

I have no idea whether you're talking about political stance or handedness, but yes to both.
My political stance rarely, if ever, affects my gaming. My left-handedness does occasionally - not in plastic guitar games, because I play real guitar right-handed (although I dispute the description - how is it right-handed when you're doing the complicated bit with your supposedly weaker and less co-ordinated left hand?).
EDIT: Actually, having said that, on the rare occasion that I play drums on Rock Band, I'll tend to switch it to lefty mode.
It tends to cause me more trouble on games that require accuracy with the right stick on the Xbox (Skate, most FPS) or mouse precision if I'm playing on the PC (because all the computers in school were set up right handed so I learned that way because I could never be bothered to change it over every time I used it).

im a lefty but ive always played games with the default control scheme and i also use the keyboard and mouse the "right" way round with the mouse on the right side. only games i play leftie is music games i hate playing music games right handed it sucks
