I'd recommend checking out Insomnium.

Melodic death metal, sort of like a slightly more melodic Amon Amarth.

I'd also recommend Skyfire

and if you like Ensiferum, you may also enjoy Wintersun

Edited cuz I learned how to embed.

Mozart's "Dies Irae", Carl Orff's "O Fortuna"?

On the Santana point, I'd recommend checking out early Fleetwood Mac.

Well I can certainly work with a list like that - let the recommendations commence!

[hr]
[HEADING=2]-Things I'm recommending because you mentioned you like Hammerfall-[/HEADING]
[hr]
Avantasia:
A side project originally put together by Edguy frontman Tobias Sammet for a two-part "Metal Opera" with an extensive cast [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avantasia#Vocalists] of guest musicians and vocalists, the Avantasia project was later resurrected for a double set of EPs and the "Wicked trilogy" albums, which are frankly just insanely awesome (and I am not just saying that because Jorn Lande is one of the guest vocalists).

[small]Here are three tracks from the respective albums that comprise the Wicked trilogy - the songs on those albums aren't all about angels, it's just sort of an odd coincidence that I picked these three because they were the first search results I could find with good sound quality; I hadn't noticed until I went back to look at the formating while I was typing this, heh.[/small]

Dream Evil:
Dream Evil, as a band, is almost a parody of all things Metal - they take the time honored tradition of Metal bands singing about Metal itself to such an extreme that practically every song in their repertoire is a song 'about Metal' - they'd be a hilarious joke band if it wasn't for the crucial bit where they're also completely serious and freaking awesome.

[small]To whit![/small]
[hr]
[HEADING=2]-Project I'm recommending because you mentioned you like Poe-[/HEADING]
[hr]Conjure One:
Conjure One is an electronic music project formed by Rhys Fulber after he left Delerium - I bring this up because Poe has lent her voice on two of the three the albums Fulber has released so far under the Conjure One moniker.

[small]Here's a couple of those tracks.[/small]

[hr]
[HEADING=2]-Band I'm recommending because you had Manowar on your list-[/HEADING]
[hr]
Rhapsody (Of Fire):
A music journalist once wrote this about Rhapsody (Of Fire):
"You could say that if Manowar didn't sport furry loincloths, weren't as menacing, and were more "technical" with their playing, they would not sound far off from Rhapsody"
With that in mind I think you would rather enjoy them.

[small]Plus they get Christopher Lee to narrate (and at one point sing)![/small]

[hr]
[HEADING=2]-Band I'm recommending because you've displayed an interest in Progressive Rock-[/HEADING]
[hr]
Karmakanic:

An offshoot of the (comparatively) better known Flower Kings, Karmakanic are essentially my go to example of the genre, when someone happens to ask me to define it for them.

[hr]
[HEADING=2]-Stuff I'm recommending because it's good and why the hell not?-[/HEADING]
[hr]
Since I'm just tossing these things out thanks to the carte blanche you provided us with when you said "I'll take any kind of music", I'll just let the music speak for itself and not bother with explanations. I hope you have a lot of free time!

Naio Ssaion:
Joe Bonamassa:
Poets Of The Fall:
The 69 Eyes:
Passionworks:
Nocturnal Rites:
The Romanovs:
Guilt Machine:
Orden Ogan:
Van Canto:
Delta Goodrem:
Blackmore's Night:
Pain:
Devin Townsend Project:
Axel Rudi Pell:
Baroness:
Eden's Curse
Delain:
... I could go on all bloody day but that would probably be even more overwhelming than this bloated post chock full of musical suggestions already is, so I shall stop (for now).

The Gorillaz, they have a very wide range of music. Emphasis on very.

Daft Punk, a French electronic-house duo. Hopefully you like them!

If you see a recurring theme between both videos, you get a cookie.

If it's not too Power Metaly for you: Kamelot (starting from "Fourth Legacy" and onward to Ghost Opera, their early stuff sucked and their last album was not-so-super)

King Crimson is the only one of those bands I know, but if you like them then you'll probably like other prog-rock. some of my favourite non-KC prog albums are Selling England By The Pound (by Genesis), Thick as a Brick (Jethro Tull), In the Land of Grey and Pink (Caravan) and Fragile (Yes), all of which I strongly recommend
