Haha. Gotta love 'em. I've always loved Korg hardware (especially their synths.), Roland is pretty cool to, my first synth./sampler was a Roland Ensoniq-EPS. Then I got heavily into drumming until I bought my MS2000 in 2001 at 200$ from a crackhead. I'm thinking of getting an Alesis Micron next month (although the MicroKorg XL looks sweet), much smaller, better for gigs. you got some pretty hardcore stuff there; That Clavia Nord sounds tasty.
The price you got for the MS2000 was a real steal, for 2001 - even now they've dropped in price a lot, most go for about $350-400 used, or "NEW UNOPENED" used (being out of production). I used to own a Microkorg, which had the same software engine as the MS2000 and I really enjoyed using it (except for the physical limitations of the Microkorg's "toylike" keys/pots). I love Clavia's products and the Nord synth line - excellent quality on everything from the chassis to the potentiometers to the LEDs and the actual wooden pitch stick and smooth stone mod wheels - it's all got a sound to match, naturally. :)

I order to afford the purchase of the Nord Modular G2, I had to sell my Nord Lead 3... I backed up my sysex patches though so someday I can be reunited with the beauty and pick up where I left off with that beautiful goddamn keyboard:

:D
Sweet :D. I love Nord synths. They have that punch which only an Oberheim can match (but really, IMHO, Nords have nothing to envy from Oberheims). I have a friend who's planning to move to Europe on January next year, he's got a Nord G2 37-Key Modular Synth.; I've played around with that baby at least once a week for the past year, and my friend has to wipe out all the drool of the keyboard every time I leave his place (joking of course).

I've got my eyes set on that sucker; he wants to put it on e-bay, but I know I can get it, cause I even offered him my macbook-pro for it :p, he liked the idea... I'll upload some tracks later tonight when I get home. Good stuff man.

I have an Ibanez RG20TH guitar and an old Marshall amp.

I like to play Dissection, The Black Dahlia Murder, Arsis, and Necrophagist, among other things.

I play bass. I have an ESP LTD Viper-104
Nice choice! I've got the 154DX.

I've been playing bass all my life, and have grade 8 in it. I've been playing guitar for 8 years, grade 5 and I have my grade 8 examination in October, and I have a Gibson SG standard with Bare Knuckle Nailbombs. I also play drums (2 or 3 years, ungraded asofar) and the ukulele (about 5 years, don't think they do grades)

Forgot to mention, I've got a Trace Elliot 200w amp for my bass, and 4 digitech pedals for it, and for my guitar I've got a Marshall Haze 50x and a Line6 Spider 50w. And if you can't tell from my instruments, I favour metal. However I'll play most things.

I play bass: Fender P-Bass

and guitar: (idk some no brand one)

Im good at bass

Im meh at guitar though

taught myself both.

BTW in my opinion, just because you can play the guitar doesn't mean you can play the bass, they are two different instruments.

I play guitar. I currently own an Epiphone Les Paul and a Squier Stratocaster. I am also fortunate enough to have been trusted to look after a Fender Telecaster (beast of a guitar..).

Used to play bass a few years ago too, would like to get into it again however can't afford to purchase one at the moment and, in spite of playing guitar, not sure I have enough strength in my fingers to play it right now. Bass players know what I mean.
