Any news on the Amazing Spider-man game?

I read the Game Informer article about it and it looks awesome! Has anyone heard anything about it?

I'm pretty sure that it's not going to be as good as Spider-Man 2...


I say this, with nothing to back it up.

It's going to be a game .... with Spider-Man in it.

That is all I know.

It can't be worse than Spider-Man 3 so it has a plus point already.

Except it is developed by Beenox, Edge of Time is one of the worst games of last year.

Here are my unrealistic wants for a spiderman game:
-Sandbox New York
-Environments done in the CryEngine
-Web Slinging focus
-Cavalcade of Villains
-Have the voice acting be good like arkham city
-Strong story like arkham city

They have confirmed sandbox New York City and combat similar to the Arkham games

Activision is the publisher. I don't find this a good sign.
Beenox is rumored to be the developer. I also don't find this a good sign.

However, this game is not a stand-alone Marvel game, but a film tie-in. Logically, one might assume Sega would be behind this, since they're the ones who have been making the Marvel film tie-in games for a while, now.

And again, I also don't find this a good sign.

Most importantly, this is a game based on a film with a very limited production time. I find this a horrible sign. There's really not much point in getting hyped about these games, you know. The people making these types often don't care about them as it is.

Spidey 2 wasn't even the best Spidey game. Web of Shadows was so much better.
