I know I'm guilty of saying one thing and doing another, but I don't know that I feel guilty about it most of the time. I'm comfortable with myself.

No.

Hypocrisy is something I can't stand and therefore, I'd never do it.
That's just an invitation for me to go through your eleven thousand posts for something hypocritical, you know that?
EDIT: I would, but the cool part of the 1812 Overture just started. Mmmmmm.

Go for it.

I'm eager to see if I broke my rule of no hypocrisy.

I'll get right on it tomorrow.

Everyone is a hypocrite at some point, it's just matter what you're guilty of. Me, I'm guilty of voiding my agreement about being an achievement whore and getting Batman: AA and FF13 (reserve) for PS3 to get my trophies up and enjoy FF13 without getting my lazy ass up just to swap discs (I only do it for food, bathroom, and the occasional visit by a friend). Of course my pact with my 360 was made before the trophy update, I have the original 60GB PS3 (yay for PS2 playability).

It would be hypercritical of me to say otherwise. Maybe not in the ways you've mentioned but I have at times been mildly hypocritical.

I think that considering the complexity of humans I would be surprised if most people didn't have unresolved conflicts in their personalties, and thoughts that contradicted other thoughts.

It's part of being human that we explain away contradictions and often resolve them in the process.

Every single human being who has ever lived is guilty of hypocrisy of some degree. You might as well ask if we've ever breathed air before.

I decry MW2 as generic shooter #45664. But play it anyway...mostly because everyone else has it.
I do the same with Halo. I say I hate the game because it's really stupid and only relies on multiplayer, but I play it anyways.

Any of you hypocrits? Any of you been racist and ended up with a nonwhitepersonifisaythecolouriwillbemurdered? Any of you been homophobic and then a close person has turned out to be a bendy straw? Any of you mocked pople for having small dicks and then you have the smallest of the banana bunch? Or maybe you've just contradicted yourself morally in another way...
Everyone's a hypocrite.

As for racism and homophobia, I don't believe myself to have either. No, I'm not particularly comfortable with seeing two guys kissing, but then public affection in general makes me uncomfortable, and yes, I do act a bit more cautious around Maoris and Samoans when in Cannons Creek, though that's simply because of its apparently high crime rate. I'd honestly like to think I'm not closed minded at all, but its likely everyone is about something.

Lost track off of hypocrisy and on onto racism, sorry. But like I said, everyone's been a hypocrite at onetime or another, one of the main reasons being how egotistical we all are, we often only see ourselves on our gigantic pedestals where its easy to look down at others and turn around to do the same thing. At least some of us admit it though.

Anyway that's my opinion.

May I ask why the topic?

Everyone is hypocritical, once you except that, there is no reason to feel guilty, as everyone else is just as bad as you are. So in short, no I'm not guilty in my hypocrisy.
I would agree, except that the word you're looking for is "accept" not "except," and I believe that one should strive to not be hypocritical.
You're right, blame the lack of sleep.
As I do for everything else.

Bendy Straw, really?

OT: Yes. I often use extreme hypocrasy as a type of humor. And I'd be a fool to say I haven't dipped into real hypocrasy once in a while...

I really hate most JRPG's in general, but FFVI is in my top ten of games I've played and I really want to play FFXIII.

Having said that, hypocrisy is something I'm hyper-aware of in my day to day behavior and I make every effort to eliminate it. I don't always succeed but god knows I try.

Yes, but to the best of my knowledge not unconsciously, and not in any issues I consider important from an ethical or moral standpoint.

I fail to apply the categorical imperative.

Everyone is a hypocrite, racist and bigoted to a degree. There's no way around it. I'm not going to explain so just look it up. Thinking that you're not a hypocrite is just flat out retarded, you might not notice it, but you think and do hypocritical things every single day.

And yeh, I make racist jokes all the time, I'm bigoted towards some people and am hypocrite just like everyone else. Hell, get me into a rant and you'll probably hear some of the most racist or sexist things you've ever heard.

^^ This. Except I think hypocrisy has its place in the world, admittedly not a good place, like on Mayfair, more like on King's Cross ... or a utility.

Everyone's a hypocrite, the sooner we accept that the sooner we stop our self-righteous accusations of hypocrisy towards others.

As for specific examples: I hate facebook and yet I still use it in order to keep in touch with friends. (I am not a phone person)
