Any older games you regularly return to?

I play through Shining Force about once a year. I try to do it with a different party every time (obviously not completely different). I thoroughly enjoy all of the characters in the game so it's fun to try new things. Some of them are really weak early on but can become insanely strong later (Arthur), others start off strong but become less and less relevant as the game goes on (Pelle), and then there are others who are strong throughout (your main character). The variety of characters makes it fun every time. Just to give you an example of what you can have in your party:
A dragon
A flying squid monster that casts freeze magic and is incredibly tanky
Numerous centaurs
An armadillo looking creature that runs around in asteam suit
A werewolf
An old man who flies a helicopter
A ninja
A samurai
Bird people
A robot

I replay the original Spyro the Dragon to 120% completion a few times every year and I replay one of the older Resident EVil titles every few months or so.
I think I might blow the dust off of my ps3 and play some Spyro 2 or maybe even 3 soon.

I still regularly play GTA San Andreas, Daggerfall, Morrowind, one of the Jedi Knight games (I forget which one), Predator: COncrete Jungle, and a few others.
I love 'em more than a lot of recent games.

Dungeon Keeper - An excellent strategy game. Gold is the heart of everything; You need it to build rooms. You need it to pay your creatures. You need it to train your creatures. You need it to scavenge someone else's creatures. You need it to cast spells. The game plays very well, even by today's standards. I play it with regularity.

Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance - In my purely subjective opinion, the best damn strategy game ever made. Four factions, each with their own place in the game, and their own faction identity. That, and it's pretty damn well balanced. Sure,a Seraphim unit will, one to one, wreck everyone else's equivalent unit, but the Seraphim as a whole is incredibly expensive and lacks diversity. This is called a dynamic equilibrium, the BEST kind of balance.

The Legend of Dragoon - Play it. Seriously. It's a PS1 classic. RPG that tried to revolutionize combat, and would have succeeded if it didn't get buried under Final Fantasy VIII. The combat revolves around a VERY limited inventory of 32 items, which can consist of restorative or offensive items, and, more importantly, something called "Additions". An Addition is,in essence,a combo. Every character, save for one,has access to a host of them. Each Addition strikes a certain number of times, can be countered, and builds up a certain amount of Spirit Points to allow the character to enter a Dragoon form. The Additions aren't automatic, however: The player must press the X button with proper timing, lest they fail and deal reduced damage. If the enemy tries to counterattack, you must instead press O,where the price of failure is,on top of reduced damage, you getting batch slapped for a full attack from the target. As far as turn-based JRPG's go,an incredibly tactical experience.

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind - An excellent example of how to fuse traditional tabletop RPG with video game RPG,with a wicked plot to boot. Nearly any combination of skills can see you through to the end of the main quest, and the joinable factions actually demand that you meet certain skill expectations,if you wish to advance,or even join. Yeah,Alchemy OP,but I honestly believe that both Bloodmoon and Tribunal expect the game to be broken through Alchemy and Enchanting. Also,I box with Cliff Racers. For FUN.

That's about it,for me. I like my vidya.

My favorite old game that I consistently return to is Star Wars: Empire at War, with the Thrawn's Revenge mod. Although I'm still holding out hope for a new Star Wars RTS one of these days (hopefully one that examines the mistakes and successes of EaW, and knows what to keep and what to throw out), I'm gonna be playing that for years to come, I think.

Otherwise, I've been getting back into Mass Effect 3 multiplayer, though I'm not sure if you can really count that as "old."

It seems like its 2 or 3 times a week Im playing the old X-com Enemy unknown (the 1993 one) but its mostly because its my favorite game of all time. I also like to reinstall morrowind, Master of orion 2, and Civilization call to power 2 from time to time. I used to have an annual tradition with my friend Andrei where we would play a match of starcraft every year but he passed away a few years ago.

Every couple of years I also like to revisit certain RPGs. Theyre all "timeless classics" in my eyes. Knights of the old republic, Vampire the masquerade: Bloodlines, Lufia 2: Rise of the sinistrals, and Dragon quest 8 to name a few

I go back to a few but Breath Of fire 2 is my main love. It got me into RPGs and I still consider it a great RPG

Ocarina of Time: Must have completed this game about 30+ times by now, still never gets boring for me.

Skies of Arcadia: Most fun I have ever had with a JRPG, exploring the world for the nth time never loses it's appeal.
