I wouldn't mind seeing Future Cop LAPD redone.

I'm also waiting for some to say Wing Commander 1-3, as I've heard that they were quite good.

Nobody ever says it, but Oddworld: Abes Oddysee/Exodus and the entire Legacy of Kain series deserve HD re-masterings.
Also, Metal Gear Solid 1 2&3, Z.O.E 1&2 and Chaos Legion. This is what I ask, and shall never be granted. Woe is me.

MGS 1 But Potentially make it a more exploratory experiance, Exploring a massive shadow Moses would be kinda fun.
Also X-Com, Definatly doesn't NEED Remaking but it would be interesting to see what they could do with the idea now, More Enimies, weapons, Person, skins. Customisable People, Ships, Weapons it'd be great to see that Game Expanded on.... But they would probably just mess it up and make it terrible.

I want to see every Lucasarts adventure game in wonderful HD and with remastered sound!

Also, some people should really bring back Unreal Fortress. Sadly the UNF Evolved project was cancelled, but I'd like to see it in the UT3 engine.
This, a thousand times this

Nox or Morrowind. Nox because it's just an awesome game and deserves to be remade. It's also the only game I know of that has a good singeplayer campaign (well, 3 actually) AND good multiplayer. And Morrowind because it's a really good game, but I spoiled myself playing Oblivion first. It looks like they all have wooden legs or something...

I don't know what you are referring to, because I had two examples in my post, but I agree!

These games are not going to be re-made. At least in any other format than first/third person shooter. People mostly are asking for 'intelligent gaming' to come back, but they put this in the form of 'I wish they would re-make this game' or 'I wish they would re-make that game'

I mean look at the titles mentioned - System Shock 2, Deus Ex, Grim Fandango, Homeworld, Age of Empires, Birthright, Baldur's Gate, Vampire Bloodlines, etc. What do they all have in common? Sophisticated stories and gameplay demanding intelligence from the player.

Instead of System Shock 2 we now get Crysis and FEAR, for Deus Ex we now get Deus Ex 2 and Alpha Protocol, for Grim Fandango we get nothing, for homeworld we get indie developer space games but no AAA titles, for Age of Empires we now get World in Conflict, an RTS that plays like an FPS, speed over strategy, for Birthright, Baldur's Gate and Vampire Bloodlines we now get Jade Empire and Mass Effect!

Don't hold your breath, because what you are really all asking for is intelligent games for that stretch you as a gamer, and in today's lowest-denominator, multi-format, politically correct and 'safe' market we now have, these are never coming back.

Generally, gameworlds are getting smaller and stories more shallow. Look at the debate between Morrowind and Oblivion, for example. And even good games, like Fallout 3, are a lot more by-the-numbers corporate affair than the more 'organic' Fallout 1 and 2.

So rather than expect re-makes, do what millions of gamers are now doing - buy the indie games that are more likely to have the depth (Stardock games anyone?), or go back and play these older titles all over again again, via X-Box Live, Sony Marketplace or DOSBox and Virtual PC.

There's a reason retro gaming is the fastest growing genre in gaming today! (With 5 million plus DOSBox downloads, for example!)

Pretty much any old fantasy RPG redone in 3D with Mount & Blade's combat system. Imagine if Morrowind were to get that... It would almost be a perfect game.

None. Ever.

Honestly, if you're going to re-release old stuff, a slight texture update, a patch to fix stuff that was a bit broken and a really, really low price is okay.

Releasing the same game 70 times in a row at a premium price is a bit irritating.

That said, I would love grim fandango with better graphics. Same interface and controls, same audio and voice acting... just better looking environments. As long as the things that made that game great are left in.

Secret of Mana 1 & 2
Crash Games 1,2,3
Donkey Kong Country 1,2,3

But most of all CRASH TEAM RACING, omg that game was so well balanced and the driving controllers were incredibly balanced aswell.

The PS1/PS2 Resident evils.

Need. Graphic. Update.

A 3rd person "Mass Effect" style Gunstar Hereos would be awesome.
Not sure if you know this but they remade resident evil 1 for the gamecube... and its AWESOME! The best resident evil game in my opinion :D
I suggest you buy if your looking for a better, more scarier and genrally more enjoyable version of res 1.

Although I wish they would do the same for resident evil 2... cause that was my favourite one :(

Bring back Ace Combat, but put it on Sony, WHERE IT FING BELONGS!!!!!

Yes, I am ticked about Ace Combat 6 only being on the XBOX 360. Ace Combat has nothing to do with microsoft, never should have, but they made it XBOX exclusive, thereby forcing me to not buy it. If it was on PS3, i would buy it, but its not, so i wont.
Yes, how dare they, those jerks, expand their market and get financial help from console makers?
Sorry, this is the most misguided, outright wrong statement I've heard in quite a while. It's arguments like these that fuel the console war.
OT: Syphon Filter, I guess.
Eh, or Pong. Pong should do.
Glorious HD Pong.
