Flogging Molly's "Speed of Darkness" is incredible
Dropkick Murphys' "Going out in Style" is pretty great
Starship Amazing's two EP's "Y'all Stop Blogging" and "A Man Who Made a Choice" are great and free from their website.
"Press X to Rock" came out this year too
If you like soundtracks, Deus Ex HR and Bastion had great soundtracks that you should try get your hands on.

Depends on what you like. I'd recommend:

The Vaccines - "What did you expect from the Vaccines"
Various artist - "Movement - BBC Radio 1 Peel Sessions 1977. - 1979." --> British punk,ska,reggae from late seventies
Tom Waits - "Bad As Me"

Ones I still have to listen to:
The Strokes - "Angels"
Dropkick Murphys - "Going out in style"
Flogging Molly - "Speed of Darkness"

Well, in case you you listen to or is interested in electronic dance music and more specifically trance, at least three great albums came out:

Above & Beyond - Group Therapy. Fantastic album and fantastic singles, by one of the best producers out there.

Gareth Emery - Northern Lights Re-Lit. Remixes of his album Northern Lights, released last year. Lots of great remixes.

Menno de Jong - Intuition Sessions 2 Rio De Janeiro. A compilation CD with lots of tracks by different producers. Menno picked some of the best tracks available at the time and put them on there.

I'm aware there are other albums released by trance producers, but these are my personal favourites of the year.

Foo Fighters - Wasting Light. Best Album EVAR (so far).
Ooooh, it's no Colour and the Shape. Still, beats the last two albums by miles.

There have been a ton of great albums this year!

Mastodon-The Hunter
Machine Head-Unto The Locust
Skindred- Union Black
Black Spiders- Sons of the North
Turbowolf (self titled!)
Anthrax- Worship Music
Flogging Molly- Speed of Darkness
Dropkick Murphys- Going Out In Style

Black Stone Cherry made a pretty meh album, so did Rise Against. I don't know about the rest of the album, but there's an awesome Damned Things track on the Arkham City soundtrack.

Children is the latest, its just all their b-side tracks, but some of the songs are done in a different style, and its kinda refreshing, plus I like the album art, definitely worth the 18 I paid
