A parkinson's sniper is someone who behaves like someone suffering from parkinson's disease when using a sniper rifle, or anything that requires fine aiming.
Any game i play, i'll always go batshit just before i take the shot, and usually miss. It's embarrassing when someone's spectating you while you're sniping like this...
This doesn't mean i'm a bad sniper, it's usually just when i'm under pressure like when an enemy is running across my screen and i have a limited time frame to make the shot. This just happens to be most of the time, is all...

So does anyone else over compensate when it comes to aiming?

I used to.
Haven't had that trouble recently.
Although, I don't play CoD so sniping tends to rely more on my ability to aim and less on my ability to point the crosshair in the enemy's general direction.

It sounds like an Oxymoron.

Actually no, I've never had trouble making precision shots in or out of games once I got the hang of it. I have a friend that I usually play with online though, and we're polar opposites on the field, he's up close with shotguns and automatic weapons, and I like sniper rifles and medium ranged assault rifles and such. When he tries to snipe, it gets pretty ugly.

...Sometimes I wish I was like that. Games are easy when you're a good shot :\

I snipe with anything though, besides shotguns. ...hand guns, SMGs, bows, rocks.. It's just how I am.

I can do up close too, it's just everyone seems to be better at that than me <_<

My sniping is a fickle talent. Sometimes I can blow the head off a scout in mid air. And other times I can't hit a heavy. Thought it iritates me when people do outrageous swing shots.

I used to be like that, when I first got a computer.. Just play a lot, you get used to reacting better and faster.

Since I have a real sniper type weapon (bolt-action Winchester-70 .308 palma modified for extreme long range iron sight target shooting) and am used to the kick it gives, I at times tense my shoulders a bit before I fire, but that requires me to be really into the game, since I can tell between a real gun and a game.

I've been playing FPS games for years, and it's never gone away :(
Sometimes i can quickly zoom in and take the head off someone at long range, or kill a sprinting German soldier before he gets into cover, but then other times, i'll take pot shots 3 meters infront of wherever someone's running because of my parkinson's predicament, just like what EHKOS seems to do.

Sorry dude, but being able to get the shot off accurately under pressure IS being a good sniper - otherwise you only shoot one or two guys before the rest get ya... Which part of this doesn't mean you're a bad sniper?
