Any Warhammer 40k players here?

I use space marines, i don't really know how to play but i love painting and building them...i have about 80 troops, 3 tanks, 2 rhinos, 3 dreadnauts, and a couple other hero characters.
An ex 40k player here.
Throughout my entire time I "collected" pretty much every army out there, as I was one fickle little sod.
The only ones I bought enough to actually make an army out of were Necrons and they were around 1500pts apiece.
I also collected the Lord of the Rings "warhammer" and that's why my 40k army was never that large.
To add to discussion, may I suggest you also post your army/race OP?

Been playing 40K (and other GW games) longer than a good chunk of GW's target audience has been alive.
Pretty much exclusively Eldar for 40K, and points.... Hmm. Probably at least seven or eight thousand points, I haven't totaled it all up in quite a long time.

I'm a big fan of 40k, but currently on a bit of a long term hiatus from the hobby due to lack of money, time and people to play it with. My main army was an Imperial Guard one of around 3500pts, though I also had various smaller 500-1500pt armies of Tyranids, Orks, Space Marines and Chaos Space Marines too.

OP. I own a ton of Imperial Guard models, but I never got round to actually playing or even finishing painting them. That said, I love the universe.

I used to play Imperial Guard. Back then they could field land raiders assault troops and multi-meltas (The first two imp guard miniatures I ever had were two heavy weapons specialists. One was lining up his heavy bolter the other had his multi-melta lugged casually across his shoulder). Shame they can't use landraiders and bike squads anymore but all the new goodies are all fun fun fun.
