Any Way to close the Facebook bar?

Is there any way I can keep the Facebook bar from showing up? Is there any way to remove it without being banned?

If the cookies on your computer show you as still being logged into facebook then they appear.

I don't know why but I absolutely despise that little bar. I think it has something to do with people commenting on them from Facebook when they could just do it on the site. Whatever the reason, I don't have to deal with it anymore.

I actually hadn't, upon closer inspection it does indeed appear to be an observable phenomenon. It's after the article and as a result poses no problems to me so no help here, sorry.
