Anybody have any newly discovered bands that were instantly a favorite?

When I first heard "Iron" by Woodkid on the Assassin's Creed Revelations trailer, I was pretty much instantly hooked on the band. Shame they don't seem to have released a whole lot of songs. Still great.

Yup, Modest Mouse were pretty much an instant sell to me, as were The All-American Rejects back in the day.

Mine was Voltaire heard his album The Devil's bris at a small record store near to where I lived a long time ago (it's closed now, sadly). I bought the album that day, listened to it and instantly loved it. To this day, Voltaire has remained my favourite singer. Here are a couple of my favourite songs:

Dammit, that's the band I was gonna post. D: The new album is sooooo good! I don't really have any other new bands, so I'll just post some more Caravan.

I have no idea WTF they are saying, but it is awesome. I remember first hearing this song in a Flash animation called "Bunnykill" then later rediscovering the band via a MLP parody series.

Crow'sClaw. Found them from someone here at The Escapist when they posted a link in the Twitter thingy and found Touhou at the same time. Recently, though, I looked through Final Fantasy remixes and found them again. Their metal arranges are nothing short of freakin' awesomeness!

Volbeat... Definately Volbeat! I love how they have mixed genre's for their songs. I just can't stop listening to them.

This. That band is so awesome.


Also Ensiferum, Amon Amarth, Tyr, Poets of the Fall, Led Zeppelin and Miracleof Sound. There could be a few more but I can't remember them right now. Most of my favorite bands have taken some time before I started to like them.
