"Rough around the edges"? Capcom has proven that outside of its fighters it's only once in a blue moon that their hamfisted programmers can make anything that isn't a poorly controlled, poorly voiced, poorly written pile of horse shit.
Speaking of shitty writing, notice how the writing wasn't mentioned AT ALL. Capcom can't write to begin with, let alone if you introduce western themes.
You're probably thinking "That video made it sound fantastic!". Look at the source of the video. It was fucking "officialxboxmag", you think they're going to dump on Capcom's biggest game of all time, regardless of whether it's any good or not?
To round things off let us end this rant by mentioning how this is Capcom and how in two months we can expect to see the seventh version of the game with a total of 3 new quests to kill rats and 11 funny hats that are for vanity purposes only. Not available for download, physical purchase necessary.
If you're going to paraphrase me at the beginning of a rant but still use quotation marks and then insinuate that I'm too stupid to do my own research and understand the marketing I'm looking at, just quote me properly and get it over with.
Monster Hunter Freedom Unite is decent, Okami is awesome, Okamiden was ok, I don't really care about the rest of Capcom's games (especially its fighters), and I am indifferent to the company's record of refusing to sell expansions separate from the original game. I'll play the version I buy, and if I miss out on a few sidequests, it won't break my heart. I don't mind a bare-bones story in this case; I'm interested in the gameplay, customization options, and general atmosphere. In addition to all of the various trailers, four hours of streamed gameplay by the developers make me think that the combat will be fun, the environments interesting, the frame narrative adequate, and the game worth my time.
TL;DR?
OXM's promos and other trailers are fine, but Capcom-Unity also did two 2-hour gameplay streams with the devs. If anyone's interested and doesn't want to mess with their blog:

and Gamespot did a lengthy "Now Playing" here:
