Anyone else as anal as me?

Anyway, I'm incredibly neurotic about my computer. Or used to be at least. I'd organize files to excruciating detail and dig deep into records to, lets say, just remove one tiny screenshot.

I recently forced myself to stop, since it's something that constantly bugged me, and I'm just wondering if anyone has/had a similar habit?

Yeah, I have such moments where I stroll throgh my datas and delete what I don't need. It's also because I don't have too much space left and am too lazy to get a new hd, but I prefer my PC to be at least decent when the RIAA turn up to check it.

I keep everything extremely organized because I have so much crap to organize. Website templates, projects, fragments of code. It gets everywhere unless you have a strict system.

yeah I love my computer I have a deep organization system, I run regular virus scans with several different types of software, and I don't even look up anything that has the slightest chance of hurting my beloved...

That's pretty much what I've been doing lately, but every other day. Now I've basically said screw it and let everything pile up. Feels gooood.

Okay, here's an example from my life.

Over the last two days, I've spent about 12 hours scanning box art and updating my DVD database on my computer. I've done similar things with my games, and I have about 3x as many games as DVDs.

My itunes library. I need to have the entire album, artwork, a rating of some sort, lyrics, and the correct sub-genre of metal (that makes up 99% of my ipod). I also have 5 100-song playlists dedicated to sleeping, sorted by different sub-genre.

Im not organized at all, i save my files anywhere without even checking and sometimes lose them, so i have to download again -_-'

However my music on media player has to be alphabetical by artist names, or i can't find a fucking thing. it Narks me when my music ends up all over the place.

OT: I like to keep all my files organized and everything around my PC clean as well. Except for the drawer that my PC rests on, thats filled with tons of receipts and stuff for Subway and video game rentals
