I enjoyed it and felt that it was an appropriate end to the trilogy, but it certainly has its weaknesses. At the risk of sounding like an echo of Yahtzee, there was way too much luck and coincidence in the plot, even for an Uncharted game. No matter how realistic you're gonna try and make your characters, and no matter what kind of wacky antics they normally get up to, I still can't help but call bullshit if the main character walks through the desert for two days straight without a drop of water, when he should be dead within hours. There was just no need for that. And although the sinking cruiseship was my favourite stage in the whole game, it would have been nice to have the middle chapters actually complement the main plot in a way.
I'm not terribly fond of any of the characters in the game either, with the exception of Sully (the fact that he had a bigger role in this game had its ups and downs), and the hand-holding gets beyond absurd at points. But I can't blame that entirely on one game, these are problems that the entire series has struggled with. Brawling/shooting remains fun, and the presentation was, as expected, brilliant.
Still, I really feel that the series has worn out its welcome, and I personally hope that Naughty Dog use their super duper graphics skills to create worlds we can actually explore with their next IP. Or bring back Jak. That sounds good.
