I read all the hype about the ME3 collectors edition and how it would rival the night vision goggles in Modern Warfare 2, but all it really has is some fairly generic artbook and DLC pack.
Anyone else disappointed by this?
Seriously I've seen dozens of good ideas for a top of the line collectors edition and I was really looking forward to a model Normandy or something to place next to my fallout 3 bubblehead, and instead they offer up a digital dog.
So enough of me venting, what do you think, are you happy with the collectors edition, what do you think they should have put in there and if you are an avid collector what is your favorite piece of game nostalgia.

It's not enough for me to get it.

My favorite Collector's Edition is likely my Alan Wake. DAT LITTLE BOOK AND VIDEO COMMENTARY IS SWEEEET.

Already pre-ordered... I'm a sucker for the metal cases like ME2 had.. The lithograph of the normandy was just icing on that cake.

I'm quite happy, and for all the content, only 20 USD more seems like quite a steal. For something to rival the night vision goggles, it would cost a LOT more.

Boring! I love special editions with extra goodies, but alot of games just kinda flop in that regard. Too bad too. Artbooks aren't really anything too cool to me, I love props. The only artbook that I have is the one from Wild Arms 5.

Artbook= Cool, but relatively common when it comes to collectors edition.

DLC pack=Rather then buy each DLC individually, you'll get them together all at once, yey!
I don't like this approach, can't I just buy Mass Effect 3:All content unlocked edition?

Looking forward to me3, but collecter edition is teh sux from what I saw of it.

This is probably the defining factor. Sure, you could pre-order the game from EA yourself and include your Shepard's face code to have that Shep printed on the box, but imagine how much that would jack the price up.

For how much extra you pay, you get a lot for your dollars.

Whatever, just wash your hands.
I really like art books but more physical stuff would be nice, ingame crap is the dryhump of the collectors edition and really it just means that if you didnt shell out the extra, then your game isnt as complete

I like artbooks. Hell, I say the hardcover artbook that came with the CE of the guide for the first game was worth the price point on its own.

Yeah, I was hoping for a nice Normandy model or a nifty poster. As the Collector's Edition is right now, even though I'm a huge ME fan, I'm not spending 20 extra bucks on weapon DLC and an art book.

I have been waiting for them to announce some asskicking ME3 Collector Addition stuffs and are you serious?

Yea, I am disappointed too, you are not alone. Mass Effect is my most favorite video game series of this generation, I really want to go all out to get something special from this series finale... I guess not... =\

Very. I wanted a model Normandy. Even a small one! But there was nothing. Also I'm not to keen on looking at M-Shep's ugly face all the time...

actually they specifically said it would be in the same price point as MW2's collectors edition, I couldnt find the news post that they had on the escapist, but I think its sort of a cop out.

I hate the DLC system and i hate it doubly so when i have to exchange money for "points" to make the transaction.
