Anyone else enjoy FEAR 2?

I finally beat FEAR 1 on steam and began and beat Fear 2 which was a lot of fun. It wasn't scary but I found the game just to be a lot of fun, as well as its multiplayer. Which is a shame because ppl only way unranked because not many play.

Anyone else enjoy FEAR 2 a lot?

I haven't finished it yet, but yes, I'm enjoying it a lot. It's not so much scary as it is fun, but there are some creepy moments.

I enjoyed it and the combat was intense on higher difficulties. I just hate the ending. It was gross

I enjoyed it plenty. Wasn't as scary as FEAR 1, but still had its moments and great action moments.

FEAR is my favorite game of all time, but I really felt that FEAR 2 was a huge meh, and actually enraged me at some points. Really disappointed that there was little to no progression in the story and I felt that the game was really dumbed down. I mean in FEAR 1 the AI was pretty brutal, FEAR 2 I played on max difficulty and used no bullet time and I cheezed through the game. Also biggest WTF ending in history for a game.

Although the bombed out city was cool looking, and the school level scared me.

It was fun, but they changed the engine and over-developed the game.

FEAR 1 had the most satisfying kills, and in FEAR 2 they changed it. See if you can tell what I'm talking about.

It was a good shooter, but just wasn't as enjoyable as the first to me.

Probably because they made the paranormal encounters into PUSH X TO LIVE quicktime events.

Note to developers: If I'm in complete control of a situation, I am not scared.

Also, what happened to the intelligent and fierce enemy AI? In FEAR one, the enemy was smart, calculating, and worked together. In 2 they were like any other FPS enemy.

Pretty much. The graphics were nice and the gameplay flowed well. I liked it. But the ending... >.>

If you guys liked Fear I HIGHLY recommend Metro 2033. It's a Russian-developed post apocalyptic survival horror-FPS. You can get it on Steam.

I feel that to think of F.E.A.R 2 as a horror/scary game is wrong.
For me it´s a good game due to the fact that I think of it as a Fps with a few scary moments.
And I agree the ending was seriously disturbing

Not scary. Neither was the original, really.

I play the series for the excellent gunplay and AI.

FEAR 2 delivered. Mostly.

FEAR 2's AI kept trying to use that stupid "knock stuff over" cover system that left them too exposed.

As a shooter, FEAR 2 was fun. As a FEAR game, it was a let down... Oh yeah, plus in FEAR 2 they completely nurfed the shotgun... it was amazing in the first 3 games.

FEAR and FEAR 2 are pretty poor games, boring in comparison to the likes of dead space.
