I don't understand what the big deal is with Portal, I played through it more than once and found it to be nothing more than average at best.
didn't play the first one but looking forward to it mainly 'cus they said somthing about steam being on consels or atleast PS3.

Maybe I'm just slow/bad at puzzles, but my first playthrough of Portal took me closer to 5-6 hours. If they said it would be three times as long, and if the puzzles are challenging, the game could be way longer than most other FPS games.SomeBritishDude said:

It certainly looks a lot more challenging from what I've seen. But then again Portal 1 looked nearly impossible from the gameplay videos, but the game introduced you to each new puzzle element as such a smooth pace that by the time we reach the final chamber it only took me a few attempts to get though. So assuming Portal 2 moves as the same pace it could reasonably be three times as hard and complicated as the most difficult puzzles in Portal.colonel_alzheimers said:

i try not to think about it because of possible spontaneous head explosion from anticipation. I hope GLaDOS is still as awesome in the last game and just as funny ( i liked the fact that some of her comments when you listen to them made you think about it until you got the joke and it was still funny). I should go play portal again to remind myself of her awesomeness, but i'll go do that after i'm done with sniper: ghost warrior.

Portal was... well, just about my favourite game ever. It was gaming perfection. Is there a way it could have been improved? I can't think of one.
So I'll probably pick Portal 2 up, but no, I'm not excited. I'm just worried. I can't see how the game could possibly be anything but a disappointment. I do hope I'm proven wrong, though.
