Anyone else have this problem?

I don't know why it happens or what the cause is but my problem is when I start up TF 2 and L4D 2, well it starts up but it just minimizes to the desk top but I can still hear the Valve noise. When I try to open it back up it just minimizes itself, I usually "fix" it by opening the program and then going crazy on my keyboard but I shouldn't have to do this, anyone know what's wrong?

Try restarting Steam, see if that works.

I TF2 and L4D2 got some updates today, so restarting may help.
If that don't work, try invalidating the files. Go to the game, right click, click properties, go to local files, then click "verify integrity of game cache".

Try verifying the game cache, as I said above after a fast edit because I forgot to say it in the first place.
