What I like best about it is that throughout most of human history it wasn't really possible. Unless you liked reading by candlelight, we owe our nocturnal lives to modern technology.

We are the next step in human evolution :D...maybe...

OT: Yes very much so. I have on several occassions gone to bed at dawn and woken at dusk and it's pretty much my prefered schedule I just have to get everyone else in "society" to conform.

As I type this it is 2am. I am not tired. I will likely end up going to bed at 5am so as not to arouse suspicion that I have been awake this late, though the time between now and then will be filled with various activities now that my forum run is basically done. In the last 48 hours, I have had 3 hours of sleep. I'm just going to take a guess and say I'm nocturnal.

As for how long, Not always, there were times when I was very young that I went to sleep early (Lasted till the age of somewhere between 7 and 12) but in my recent life I have found that I stay up at night, and will usually sleep late during the day unless something important is going on. Probably comes from the fact that I don't really need a lot of sleep to function (I could survive another week at the very least with 3 hours of sleep to 48 hours of being awake easily), and don't get tired easily. Trying to sleep whilst I am not tired is pointless, and as such I stay up and do stuff. Sometimes when I have nothing to do, and am really bored, I will just go to sleep at a normal time, but I'll still wake up late as that is more of a 'Bed is warm and I CBF moving' sort of thing than a 'I'm tired' sort of thing.

4am to 1pm is my current sleep schedule if that counts as nocturnal.

It changes a lot though, depending on what I have to do.

I used to be really bad for it, up 7pm-7am all the time. It only changed because I got a job that started at 6am.

I'm no more nocturnal then I am what ever the opposite is.

I have a rotating sleep cycle that lasts about a week-week and a half, that I wake up a few hours later each day then the day before, and I go to sleep a few hours later then the night before.

For about 10 years now, I've been fairly nocturnal.

I'm a packet of glitter away from being in an overly dramatic love triangle with a werebeast and an annoying teen.

Being the little sheltered suburban teen I am, I'm always told to go to bed before midnight. But even then I usually don't want to stay up, I want all the sleep I can get before my body -always- wakes me up around 8:30, and no one's online except for... Australians.
Heh heh heh. I'm not sure how I feel about being up with Knife and his family all night and early morning ether.

OT: I'm such a night walker, it's not even funny. It's the main reason I'm switching schools.

Still, leaves me a lot of time to work on my projects and do some stuff for fun. Also, going out in the middle of the night and buying munchies is fun too.

I fear I may be in the progress of becoming nocturnal. I hardly slept last night, and now coming up to 4:00 in the afternoon, sleep is becoming tempting. Must...resist...temptation...to f***...sleep cycle...

OMG. Please teach me your ways!
That sounds badass and very useful.
simple take a half cup of tea leaves, either green tea or black tea, and add it to a cooking pot of boiling water, and every time the water goes below the half way mark, add more. keep boiling it down to extract the caffeine and after several gallons of water, and a few hours you stop adding water and boil it down to just a cup, add some honey to sweeten it, because it will be very strong, and there you go. super caffeine tea.
Thank you, kind sir.
Im assuming that by "boil down" you mean boil the water to the extent that half of it gets evaporated, leaving me with half a pot of boiling water.

This is going to be the longest, new years, ever.

Stuck up till about 4/5 am on terraria every night, does that make me nocturnal? or just an average gamer with the will to stay up late?

I'm semi nocturnal. I love staying up late at night but I also really like sleep. And I hate wasting a day sleeping. So end result is usually me up late, up early and stumbling through the first half of the day.

Night person all the way.

I have often wondered something. Since Bruce Wayne goes out and fights criminals at night, does he get tired? Wouldn't this explain why he sleeps during daytime occasionally?

Seeing as it's 4 in the morning over here, yep, although I'm going to eat "breakfast" and try to go to sleep right now since I can't sleep all day tomorrow. I have trouble sleeping at night, like insomnia and constant racing thoughts, but it's a lot easier in the daytime. Luckily (Not really luckily, but irony I guess), I don't have anything going in my life right now, so I'm fine. Back in High School it was horrible though, I would be so tired all day...
Yea at some point you should just try to do a half all nighter, so you fall asleep at about 1 - 3 pm, and then you'll wake up at about 3 - 4 the next morning, and you can last the whole day.
Seeing as 4 P.M. is when my brother and dad get home, that could make sleeping a bit more difficult. I seem to be in either an irritable, hyper, or really unaware mood when I try to pull all-nighters, some times all of the above. So, it's not exactly a pleasent option. Also, I never drank caffeine anymore and I'm still like this...

I am. I work a late shift (11P to 7A) so I don't really have a choice. I'm not really a fan. I miss going to bed when its dark out haha.

I am a critter of the night, and, because of that, the sun really isn't my friend since my eyes are so used to the dark sky that it hurts when I'm outside during the day.

I work a lot at night so it really works out for me rather well.

For all but a year and change of my adult life, I've worked at least partially overnight shifts. My typical shift now is 9p-5a, and while my body wants to reject it sometimes, I know my personality is not suited to daytime jobs at my workplace, or daytime hours in general.
