Anyone else nocturnal?

I have no choice but to somewhat be nocturnal since I work overnights at a Police Dept right now. I can't keep a normal schedule because of it.

The only reason I'm awake during the day is because society makes me.

University is in the morning, predominantly, and then I work in the evening... so not much choice there

I wouldn't call myself nocturnal so much as I just don't enjoy sleep, so I stay up later and later. Left to my own devices I suppose my sleep "schedule" would continually cycle through nocturnal/diurnal.

But since I have to get up for school I'm just tired all the time.

I think most people here would be either nocturnal or at least people who stay up quite late and sleep in a fair portion of the next day.

I'm not fully nocturnal but I really don't sleep regular hours either. Makes alot of things really difficult and means that i'm exausted all the time.

honestly i do it because it's the only time i can get anything done on my computer. during the day i'm constantly getting called away

It's past 3am, and I'm only been sleepy for like 10 minutes. In the summer, I go to bed after my parents wake up.

Yes, nighttime. I don't know why, but I love staying up 'til the morning of the morning and crashing for the rest of the early daytime. Which reminds me, it's 2:00 and I have sleep to catch up on...

round about middle school i started staying up really late for no apparent reason, then i just got to a point where i couldn't go to sleep before 2 am. f-'d up my schedule and i failed a couple of classes in high school because i kept falling asleep in classes. been that way ever since. well at least up until ten months ago when my son was born... he's put me on baby sleep rotation.

During the holidays and some weekends I usually go nocturnal which pisses my parents off to no end. While I'm at college I go back to a more traditional sleeping pattern though.

I'm totally a night person. I sucked it up and went to bed at a "normal" time during my ten weeks in the Fire Academy but now I'm back to my old habits.

Im assuming that by "boil down" you mean boil the water to the extent that half of it gets evaporated, leaving me with half a pot of boiling water.

I am a critter of the night, and, because of that, the sun really isn't my friend since my eyes are so used to the dark sky that it hurts when I'm outside during the day.

I work a lot at night so it really works out for me rather well.

i have this problem too, light sensitivity, cause i have gray-blue eyes. I kind of avoid sunlight because of it.

I use to before I began working a real job. I would wake up around 5:00pm. Go eat dinner (aka breakfast). Then play video games until 7:00am where I would go eat breakfast (aka dinner) and then go to bed.

I was unemployed and was in no relationship. I literally just slept, ate, and played video games.

I don't have a fixed sleep schedule and can do it any time of day. I am usually awake at night, because it's nice and quiet. Also, I don't get jetlag.

I have been doing it for about five years. It is a consequence of a partly successful attempt to become a polyphasic sleeper.

I probably would be nocturnal if it wasn't for school. As it isI stay up to 2-3AM on my laptop on a school night.
