In Ireland we have a more, ah, "colourful" term for people that behave like that... It sounds like an unbelievable disgrace.

So earlier today when i was at work on my lunch break i was reading the newspaper (The Mirror to be precise) and i was reading this article about a restraunt owner caught two neds trying to break into the restraunts alcohol storeroom, he took them back into his restraunt and phoned the police. While he was wating on the police arriving some of the teenagers mates came and started trying to kick in the restraunt door so he locked it, when the police arrived at the scene all the teenagers started complaining to the police that the man punched and attacked them. The police took their word for it and arrested the restaraunt owner for assault....

I tried to find a link to the article on the internet so you could read it for yourselves but i couldnt find it, not even on the mirrors homepage oddly but anyway what do you all think of this, do you think it is a total disgrace, the law system is so flawed.

Yeah, fight breaks in bars, guy takes two yobs prisoner, is arrested and then let almost immediately released.

Why the heck should the police take his word for it? He could have started it and then called the police when things escalated. Seems perfectly sensible to arrest everyone involved so that you can figure out what the hell was going on.

But that would be expecting reason and sanity from the Mirror and the Mail.

Also, certain places have bad reputations. If someone robbed Kennedys Fried Chicken around here the Police would have a field day because they would finally get to search the place.

I try to be surprised when I hear shit like this, but I'm just not anymore. Social services (also known as the Naive Bleeding Hearts Clubhouse) pretends that 'every child is just good, they can just be poor, misunderstood souls'.
