http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/9.304120-New-minecraft-Enderman-footage
but this mob might just kill the game for me...
http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Silverfish
and i heard somewhere there might be a hunger bar being added in...
and unless he sets it so you can turn off specific mobs...i might just quit minecraft....anyone else?

Thanks for linking my thread :D

Notch said that hunger is optional, so dont worry about that, and Ender man is proberly rare, and is peaceful unless you look directely at him.

There is a difficulty setting. To me this would seem to negate any complaints about difficulty.

i feel the monsters aren't the difficult part but having to make more complex recopies just to get basic ingredients like using 2 iron ingots to make a set of shears just to get wool.

Anything to make the game harder makes me happy. I've actually started getting bored with the hostile mobs they have right now. It was terrifying when I first played, and I loved it. But after building a house, and making sure I was in it by night, I didn't have to worry anymore. It got too easy, and I play on hard.

Wha's wrong with Silverfish? Nothing's been confirmed..
yes but
n real life, silverfish are small, wingless insects that are often found in dark areas in buildings. They are infamous for damaging wood and paper-based products.

Yeah, but I don't want to be playing a game where the only options are Peaceful or death every few minutes.
Easy mode would probably cut down the damage quite alot. I mean, we don't know what difficulty the person in the video was playing on, but that amount of damage seems similar to the amount done to me by a creeper on hard mode. Also, don't forget that the enderman can't attack if you're looking directly at it, and won't become hostile until you do so.

Yeah Im gona have to tell you to man up you may have had a point if you said minecraft was gona get to creapy what with creapers being the bane of my life and enderman coming but on normal the game is not even half way to being a chalenge as a suit of iron armor and a bow negates nearly everything

So overall I don't get what your going on and about silverfish odds are thay will be passive as silverfish in real life aren't mad hunters

yeah but the fact they damage wood would make any wood base a piece of crap
depends what notch does with them i suppose

I wouldn't mind it getting harder once I learned the game it became to easy, make a well light house and mine and you'll hardly ever see a monster. What I think he really needs to add is some materials that can only be found at night.

Well to be honest I haven't herd anything about that I know thay move blocks around butwe dont know which ones yet apart from sand

If thay can move wood blocks it will be a little unseteling though as I like building wood glass buildings but it would be nice to have an excuse to build a rather large tree house as I would thing thay can only grab blocks 3 bocks away like the player so build it 4 high and your set

or just torches for miles around that would work to

*come what may* humm capcha says bring it

No game is "too hard" IMO, unless it's an unfair kind of hard. I don't think adding things to give more complexity to the game makes it harder in any stretch of the imagination, just more possibilities.

Okay the hunger bar not so much but it's not exactly going to make the game harder is it? Just one more thing to think about.

Well, consider this:

There hasn't been any indication that the frequency of mobs will increase, so every new mob introduced will reduce the odds of encountering older ones. I think I'll be fine with Endermen and Silverfish if it means encountering less Creepers and Skeletons.
