This is what EVE Online should be like.

It's exactly what I always wanted EVE to be, that's why I'm a little randy for this game.

CCP seriously need to make EVE like this. I mean EVE is fantastic for the fact it's 99.99% player driven in terms of sovereignty, market, mining etc. It's brilliant that you can essentially build a huge empire that's truly yours. But, to me, it fails where it matters, the combat. I don't want point and click, I want PEW PEW PEW.

I'm definitely going to. I'm guessing you don't have such sanbox abilities as EVE in terms of building an empire and owning your own stations. But the pew pew factor alone is enough to tempt me.

I'm definitely going to. I'm guessing you don't have such sanbox abilities as EVE in terms of building an empire and owning your own stations. But the pew pew factor alone is enough to tempt me.

I read something about the space station outpost thingies being player-run, and ship designs are totally customizable. Again though, all I'm interested in is the idea of PVP battlegrounds and clan battles.

I tried it but deleted after 2 hours, my PC really couldnt handle the game, it was really choppy. It may be fun, but I think it'll become a grindfest later on

It runs fine on the highest setting for me with the $600 system I built a few months ago. It may become a grind fest but at least it won't be all "Autotarget... 1 key... 2 key... 2 key... click and loot".

Besides the PVP is the only thing I'm concerned about in a game like this. Apparently there are a lot of PVP options.

That's when a good MMO falls fast, when they focus on PVP. It's great for some people, but the vast majority are PVE players and those who whine about weapon X being OP because weapon Y can't work against it just ruin anything fun.

Case in point: DFO and the Blademaster

Yeah you can use mouse+keyboard, joystick and gamepad to play it. It even has defaults for the Xbox 360 and I think the PS3 controller.
