I use Google Chrome for Mac and whenever I connect to the Escapist, I get a warning message saying that this site may harm my computer. I've never had this problem before, it just started happening recently.

Is anyone else using Chrome getting the same message?

EDIT: Thanks to NewClassic, I have sorted the problem. I just needed to clear my cache out. Thanks to all who posted.

I have Chrome on the PC and I don't get it. Maybe it's a Chrome/Mac thing.

Actually, I have been having this too. Every once in a while it pops up. Only started recently, and its quite annoying sometimes. I'm on a Windows 7 PC.

Yeah, it just started doing it in the last few days.

Here's the message for anyone interested;

I use Firefox for reason very similar to that. Chrome started off well for me, but slowly started to run slower and slower, then refuse to load any pages at all. Once I got pages to load, it informed me that each and every one that i went to might harm my computer, even Google.com.

I uninstalled, went back to the Fox, and never looked back.

Not all the time but occasionally it will happen. Usually I just go to a different website then try again and it works fine.

Clear your browser's cache. That should clear up the message. If it continues, contact Virgil at the Tech Team [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/groups/view/Tech-Team] user group.

That should square away the message. As for the harm, no one else has reported anything weird, but running a virus scan if you're worried should clear any sense of mind.

Thanks. I wasn't worried, however it was sort of annoying. Hopefully what you suggested works. Cheers

Nope, I've never had any problems like that with the site. I occasionally get the site being incredibly slow to load, but that's due to the site itself and not a Chrome issue.

I've never had it. I've had Vista on my laptop since 2008, been using Chrome since last year and recently upgraded to Windows 7 last week, still using Chrome.
