I've been on the news a couple of times, but nothing important TV-wise

Theatre wise, veeeeeery different.
See, I had the lead part in...
Wait for it...

The school nativity in primary school!
I flipping nailed that part, and am proud of it to this day!

This year i decided, "fuck it, its my last year at this school, might as well do the school show for once". so i auditioned for Les Miserables, and ended up getting the part i wanted, which was Javert.

so i was wondering, any other escapists enjoy the thrill of being on the stage? be this in school, or proffessionally, or just something in your spare time?

Also, if you have been on TV for any reason by all means share that with us too

so how about it? any other dramatists in our community?

it doesnt matter if you did the show years ago, days ago... or in my case... the opening night is next week.... lol i wanna hear about it.
I was in a very tiny underground theater group numbering about 2 dozen people at the time. I don't remember the names of the plays. One was written by the leader of the group, a guy who spent so much time criticizing Kevin Smith and Quentin Tarantino that he apparently failed to notice that all of his dialogue was ripped off from their works. The other was written by someone else and was pretty damned good. The lead female role was a young woman who had not yet learned to respect herself and who, like all the women I knew at the time, wanted the Hell out of a friend of mine. So, for performance night, she changed between every scene and conveniently forgot her underwear. I didn't know what to say. If it happened today I would have complimented her pussy.

I was in a Christmas play in 1st grade as Elf #2. I'm so talented.

Also, I was briefly on TV during the Deathly Hallows release.

I played Banquo in Macbeth when I was... 11?

However, this is one of my best friends in a really long running show called The Bill... He scares me when he turns it on, he's such a different person. I think they call it talent. I haven't got any.

I've been in plenty of plays. Mainly as the main Antagonist. Not because I'm a great actor or even enjoy the theater that much, but I'm a big burly bear of a man, and I fit those roles well

My favorite role ever was playing War.

Nope. Never. I really wish I had gotten into drama/theatre or maybe school music(band, strings or chorus or something) when i was younger though. I do happen to play the guitar now. Been playing for 3-4 years i think, but it hasnt taken me anywhere. Id like to start a band(just for fun) and i kinda have, but no1 besides me is motivated to actually do anything. So I guess im doomed to fail.

I have been in Drama productions every year in school since 5th grade, and I've done the annual musical all of high school.

I was Worker #2(lol) in The Pajama Game, Sonny in Grease, Pat Denning in 42st, Horace Vandergelder in Hello Dolly, and I am currently Bill Sykes in Oliver.

I've also done a lot of random unpopular plays, but i don't remember my roles for those.

I hope to pursue acting in college and possibly professionally.

My school may do the play version of Le Mis this year.

Congratz on the part man!

I used to do performing arts awhile back but it was when I was doing that that I discovered I really enjoyed directing and that was me from there!

I was singing infront of a few hundred people for school...and never done anything like that since...

Though i have been in the newspaper a couple of times for reasons i'd rather forget ( a little bit embarrasing, and not bad either).

actually I have been plenty of times. I am a bit of a drama man I must admit. discounting the stand-up I do at my school's bi-yearly talent shows, there were actually about two or so I've been in so far. I was in "Little Shop of Horror's" as Orin Schrivello the mad dentist and first victim of the plant (a cookie to anyone who knows which actor played that in the movie version). Also, for the series of one-act plays known as "a night with Shel Silverstein" I played a director in the one play called "The Spot" which was the only play not written by Shel, I played the guy in "No Skronking" and I played the guy with the cage in "Do Not Feed" (an entire box of cookies to anyone who know what any of the plays I'm refering to).

Also, my school was featured on good morning atlanta's "Cool School" segment--I woke up at 3:30, after having performed "a night with shel", just as a by-the-way--and the guy asked how it felt being the only guy in the drama club. I told him that I wasn't

I don't have the balls to do drama. I have performed music a couple of times now though, and there is something very cool about it. If I could carve out a living just playing guitar and singing, I'd be very happy.

I have no acting experiences to speak of... However... I play guitar in an extremely unknown band, so I have been on stage a few times. I love it. It's a great rush, and nothing feels like going on stage, performing to the best of your abilities, and getting some recognition for it.
